Does anybody know what these look like? I had a set im my first Pearl and I think they had a Z emblem in the middle of the black mat?...or did they just have the word "Datsun"? Anybody have a set in their car? I cannot remember. Thanks, Pete

Hi Pete. The floor mats for the original S30 Z-Cars, including the '78 Black Pearl, were all rubber aftermarket pieces manufactured by a company called AMCO. There were several designs including those with a "Z", "DATSUN" and "240Z etc.".

They turn up on ebay every now and then. Usually the used ones are well worn. NOS can be quite expensive, usually going for better than $100. In fact there is a pair on ebay right now.

The carpeted mats from Motorsport Auto are a much better choice, IMO.

I like my MSA ones myself. Black with "Datsun" in the middle. The only thing, and with most floor mats, is they can crinkle up under the gas pedal, and cause it to stick, yes it happened to me. So I glued a piece of hard plastic to the bottom....problem solved. Other than that, they are heavy duty good mats. I also have padding underneath and feels like a new car to me. :D
