Well, I couldn't wait...
Stopped in this morning. WHAT a PLACE ! There's nothing this shop is not capeable of. I met Rich who was in the midst of painting. Scott proudly showed off the place. The Office and lounge was beautiful. You could easily spend hours there, looking down at the Zs through the office/ lounge windows.
The shop Is great Too ! Scott and I spoke about many different things from superchargers to turbos.
I also shared some experiences of my friends Grand National shop.
While walking amongst the cars a few things observed. Each car has an Invoice w/ notes tucked under the windshield wiper. Parts, nuts & bolts are neatly stored. NOTHING is left to chance or in question. This ranks very high with me. Master tech, Guru or average Joe. It only takes one interruption to skip a Important step. It also allows for another tech to pick up where one has left off.
They offer a pick up/ trailer service for those with a disabled Z.
Tire service, They can do it .. Alot of shops dont like those large diameter wheels. Scott assured me they could handle wheel mounting and balancing on state of the art equipment up to 24in wheels.
24s on a Z i don't think so... (but good to know)
I'm sure there were other things we discussed or I saw that escape me at the time.
Upon arriving home, I parked outside my garage and began to clean up. I couldnt bring myself to park the car in there after seeing the RDZ facility
Thanks Scott, Rich & Crew for the hospitality.

Well, I heard it was hi-class, but this just really whets my appetite to get out there.

My Z should be roadworthy again in the first week of September. I might not even call ahead ~ just show up!

Frank
