Our Rochester member John Taddonio's magnificent 1970 240Z has been entered in a computer contest for BEST IN SHOW ~ PEOPLE's CHOICE at this website:

The site takes a minute to load up properly, then gives you a voting choice on the left margin. Right now, John's Z is tied for first place with a 1968 Chevy :roll: . That can't be allowed to continue! :evil:

You can help John by voting for his car. Best part is, you can vote EACH DAY until the contest is over! 8) This might be the only time in Democracy when you can vote more than once!

Let's help a Z brother out! Vote for John's immaculate 1970 240Z and seal his victory! He gets tons of priZes if he wins, and we get the satisfaction of having a Z beat out more American Iron :wink:

John also mentioned something about giving a shoebox full of 20s to each member who voted for his car, but I didn't understand all of what he said.

Got mine. I notice the color is a little off on the site, or maybe just my computer, so you all know that never seen John's Z, it's defiantly a nice Z, very well done. :D

Well, it's past midnight so I just voted for John again. He's got 51% of the votes at this time, but this is NOT the time to slack off! Let's keep votin' and bury the competition. John's Z is emblematic of every one of our efforts with our own carz, so this is a good way to show how much we care about these Zs.

Thanks for all of your support! I think it is GREAT that a Datsun was selected as a finalist in this contest. If you look, you will see that the majority of rides listed are classic American muscle. Nothing at all wrong with that, but it's nice to see a classic Z represented to a national audience.

Don't forget, the contest runs the entire month of August, so please visit the site daily to vote again!

* Yes Paul, I noticed that the image on the site is a bit off on the color, not my car, just the image they posted!

I'm not sure if I voted this morning, but I just did right now, this
afternoon. Will I tilt the machine, or set off burglar alarms or

NO. I already tried.

The machine took my repeated votes (7 of them), but the percentage did not change even a single degree. I suspect the machine was just ignoring my subsequent attempts, and probably laughing at me.
