I honestly don't know! I received a ton of Gold Eagle product for being a quarter finalist, I have no idea what the monthly winner gets.

If it is the OTHER cars, I am taking offers!!

LOL

Y'all VOTE today! It's the final chance to help John pull ahead of these close competitors!

This competition ends today! This is the last chance we get to save him from the indignation of losing to American steel!

PLEASE VOTE NOW! The race appears neck and neck! Help John nose ahead so he can claim this close victory.

Maybe, with a final, supreme effort, we can band together and really give John a lead at the finish line! 8)

WELL! This contest has ended, John has won a sweeping victory, and tons of goodies are headed his way. It will be interesting to learn what he gets for this.

I suspect John's win margin might exceed anything this contest has witnessed in the past. John swept the competition with 60% of the votes in a landslide victory. The other 3 contestants divided the remaining 40% of the votes among themselves. Nice work, John!

On a SAD NOTE, I am dismayed to read the sour-grapes response of one of the LOSERs in that contest. "JIMMY" feels the Z is not a Cool Car and only won because "John has a lot of friends voting for him". He says he thinks a Japanese Z should never win anything over a true American car.

You can read JIMMY's comments by pressing here:

http://polldaddy.com/poll/3549494?view=results

I'm sure you might be able to think of something to say to him about his poor-loser attitude, if you tried hard enough.

CONGRATULATIONS, JOHN! Nice Z, nationally recogniZed as a winner, and able to flex it's muscles to defend its crown anytime you pull it out of the garage.

wow what a sore loser! well CONGRATS JOHN! i think this comment i read on the poll sums it up.

"A Datsun 240Z owner with a "bunch of friends voting for it every day"? He must have one "Cool Ride"!"

Frank - a perfect response without sinking to his level. :D

Congradulations, John from all of us at RDZ MOTORSPORTS.

We apprciate you and your fine example of a great looking Z car.

You and your z are a major asset to the CTZCC club and will always be looked at in just that way.

No comment for sore losers... :D

Wow! Thank you ALL for supporting my 240Z in Gold Eagle's national contest. I really am thrilled that a Datsun 240Z outpaced a classic Chevelle, custom Ford and antique racer. Little things like this really help to reinforce the fact that the 240Z is indeed a modern classic.

CTZCC and ZCCR are great clubs.

The cars are great, the people are better.

:D

Congratulations to John AND KIM, let's not leave the ladies out now!

I wonder if Jimmy's response is an unfortunate indicator of his character,
which in turn might be a sign of why he didn't have many friends voting
for him and his car? That would be the saddest of all.

Frankly, I liked his car very much and might have voted for it in another
contest. But in this case, it so happened that there was a car that I liked
better than Jimmy's. As I admitted in my "letter to the editor," John's Z
had an advantage toward receiving my vote(s) since I had seen the Z
in person and knew firsthand what it REALLY looked like.

I am not going to cast any aspersions because I couldn't do so without
incriminating myself. "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone..."
I wasn't exactly overjoyed that Lucky 13 didn't get the recognition in
Nashville that I thought she deserved, either, so in a very real sense I
am the "Jimmy" of the CTZCC.

All Z Best,....................Rick (Kathy isn't guilty of this)
