Hi all, Karl from Mystic. I think the head unit on our '93 300 has died. when I turn it on. I get a pop out of the speakers then nothing. Both radio and cassette don't work. Looking for good replacement suggestions. Spouse would like at least a single CD player. I'll take one with a iPOD interface that will be able to control the iPOD also. Also, any tips on what is req'd to replace would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Crutchfield is a great choice. I bought a Kenwood and they supplied the correct harness to make it plug and play. I'll get you the model number.
CD, Ipod, Removable face.

Yeah, I've heard that the Z32's stock speakers often make a popping sound. I'm curious if that's the fault of the speaker itself, or a symptom of a head-unit problem? Anyone know?

I doubt all 4 bolwn at the same time, but can always try another speaker. Also look for a blown fuse. Fuse panel, or behind the unit. Or go to Wal-Mart......I got a Pioneer CD player for $125, has the I-pod jack in front, remote control, Amp availabilty, and just with 6 x 9 's will blow your ears anyways.
