Here is a car to grab.. asking $6500.00 - If you want a 240Z to restore, and your willing to put the necessary work and money into it.. This might be a good one.

Just be aware that it is easy to spend $25K+ doing a serious restoration on one of these today.

GREASED???
What were they gonna do, EAT it?

1973 fuel door
No hood badge
I don't see the air injectors on the manifold
(And of course, we will never see a Z with a lower VIN than 0400)

But you're right Carl ~ this one would be one to jump on and restore. It could be worth $30,000 in a few years, if done properly.

Very happy to know this one survived.

You guys don't know how tempted I am, especially at this close range!

Carl knows this story: when #231 came up for sale I was getting ready
to start bidding after the bids had hit the $4000 level. :? Suddenly it
occurred to me that Carl or Jimbo might be bidding on the car, and I
didn't want to drive the price up on friends of mine.

So I called Carl and he said he wasn't bidding on it. I then called Jimbo
and asked him the same, and get this, this is good. He
replied, "NAW, THAT'S TOO HIGH A VIN NUMBER FOR ME, but if you
want, I will check it out and ask the owner a few questions for you."

The car was withdrawn from bidding due to not reaching reserve.
But if I learned anything from that exercise, it was that Jimbo will help
me when needed, :D and that if I were to go for #400 I wouldn't have
to compete with him BECAUSE OF ITS HIGH VIN NUMBER!

The guys on ZCar.com are really badmouthing this car.
The consensus seems to be that she is far overpriced, considering the
amount of work and expense that would have to be invested to
bring her back to a reasonably nice specimen, much less a concours.
