I was going to make a taller camera mount but I ended up with a stomach virus for two days just before the track event. My prep time was nil. In Clive's car, it was a last minute decision to install my camera in between runs. There was very little room for planning. I figured we would work with whatever we got.

My instructor was very nonchalant. No comments about the car, just pointing me around the track, and telling me what gears I was supposed to be in, for each bend. I got much faster in the later sessions, or at least more confident. The car held up amazingly well running 16psi boost on a 150,000+ mile stock L28ET. I was ENTERING the back straight at the top of the esses at around 100-110 mph. The brakes were phenomenal and I even made the four hour trip home, through some t-storms, with the A/C on! Got 20mpg at 70-80mph with A/C on.

The only comment I got from the instructor at the end was "Well, nobody is catching you..." I took that as a good thing.
