Yesterday was such a perfect Z day, your Club Photographer and Membership Director pulled our Zs out onto the highway for a casual Fun Run.

We met at Middletown Nissan, where we visited with our member Phil Wallace (Sales Manager) and met a potential new member with a 280ZX N/A coupe. Like many Z owners, he had no clue there was an organiZed Z club here in CT. (Well, some might argue the 'organized' part ). I gave him a Z Spotter card and invited him to visit the website.

Then we drove across the river to find F40 Motorsports! This is one of Phil's favorite places, but I had never been able to find them. Phil showed me how to get there and altho it was closed that late on a Saturday afternoon, we were able to view many world-class road cars in the windows.

Ferraris, Lambos, Masers, Gullwing MBs....even an ultra-rare Bugatti Atlantique Coupe! (One of these just set a record for selling at the highest price ever paid for a car in automotive history ~ $30 million).
Outside, I fell in love with a near-perfect 1960 Chevy Impala V8 (probably only a 283; the coveted 348 had more chrome) and a wonderful Mini Cooper S.

Also viewed thru the windows were a number of XKs, an actual Arnot Bristol (pretty rare these days) and a 1930s open-wheel racer (a Miller Special?) bearing a name which should raise some questions about one of our members (26th Z).

It was a grand time and we pledge to get back there when they are open so we can drool on the cars.

Frank
