What year did Datsun stop using twist locks on the 240Z fuel door and switch to the thumb-dimple springloaded doors?

Frank is that part still for sale from the clubs partz car? If so I would take it. I believe late 71 is when the switch to the differnt style gas doors. I am also sure their are two different styles of the gas door knobs. Carl and Jimbo would know more about that than I would.

The fuel door was in near-perfect condition and was one of the first parts sold off the Club Partz Car. GoMen Nasai, Ne?

I know the very early (1969) 240Zs had half-moon shaped locks, which stood vertically when secured. Sometime later (1970?) they briefly experimented with teardrop shaped locks which laid horizontally when secured (more aerodynamic?), followed by the final halfmoon shape which also laid horizontally when secured (as on my Apr/70 240).

I know by 1972 or 73 they were using the thumb dimple on the trailing edge of the fuel door, without any lock, but I don't know precisely when they started that.

That's what I'm trying to learn.
