Spotted this 280Z at a shop in Old Saybrook...It was dropped off and never picked up. They say it was used during a promotional event for the Movie "Bruce Allmighty" and has a Chevy V8 inside. Anyone remember this from the movie?

The shop has the paperwork and may want to sell...

Ha! I caught a snippet of that movie the other night with my wife - a part in the beginning when he was driving the car... I had TOTALLY forgotten that he was driving a silver 280 in that movie! Is that the actual car used in the film?! I didn't get to watch the whole movie, but I think at one point it gets pretty trashed by vandals.

Anyways, see what kind of other info you can dig up on it! This would be a very cool piece to own :)

He runs it into a lamp pole in the movie.

That is awesome Keith, wonder why they've kept it around so long and how did you ever manage to stumble across it?

How many more "famous" Z's are hiding in Connecticut?

Did you leave a CTZCC spotter card on it? LOL

I had some work done at the shop.....about 3 miles from the Marina. I'll swing by again and get more details.

I bet the Movie had a few Silver 280's available during the fliming....

They probably did. Sometimes cars don't crunch right when you smash them into things, and its much easier to do it again with another instead of time consuming bodywork with the first car.

It has the right wheels on it. Just be wary of counterfeits! It's an easy way to jack up the price of a 280Z 2+2 that happens to be silver with ZX wheels!

It turns into a Saleen S7 if I remember right. Would be nice if my Z did that from time to time.
