As some of you know, I moved out of CT several months ago around October. After a lengthy stay in a rental, I finally moved into a house in Sandwich MA. Yes, I'm still shacking up with my parents while I go to my first two years of college up here. My mail has been a mess with all the changes of address', and most of it has been scattered into various boxes and files during the moves. With the absolute paperwork MESS I've had with my college paperwork and GI Bill applications, and now schoolwork, I haven't had much time to go through all of it. Finally today I looked through one of my boxes and found a few things that I hadn't gone through yet. In it was a manila folder with a piece of paper in it. Honestly, I had forgotten that this was even sent to me.

Its a certificate for "finding" HLS30-00013, beautifully printed and very official looking. I feel terrible for not posting this sooner, but I'd like to sincerely thank everyone responsible for this. The layout reminds me a great deal of my various promotion warrants and medal certificates, haha. Frank, did you have anything to do with that? It looks great guys, and will have a place above my workbench in the garage. For now, here's a picture of it on the Z, taken a few minutes ago.

How great to hear from you again! :D You are truly missed down here, Phrog. Our first monthly meeting of the zeason will be at the Marina in Old Saybrook and we'd love to zee you again if possible. We have so many new joins, you won't believe it!

For those of you who haven't heard this story, Phrog was singly responsible for dutifully reporting that Rick and Kathy told him they owned 1969 240Z #13. If he had not believed them, nobody would have blamed him, because none of us believed it either ~ until we saw it.

If Phrog hadn't stopped what he was doing and reported it as soon as he heard it, "Lucky #13" would probably still be hiding in storage and might not have turned up for another 30 years! Now it's World News and we consider Phrog a hero.

Just because you ran off and hid in college doesn't mean you aren't still one of us, Phrog. We need to hear from you often!

Frank

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!! If only we could have ignored that
orange Z, you guys would never have found us and we could have
kept on enjoying a quiet, peaceful retirement out in the country......

Listen, Sandwich really isn't that far. In Texas it's not unusual to drive
300 miles just to meet somebody for lunch, right Al B and Jim A? So we
expect to be seeing you every few days this summer.

One minor correction, please, Frank. It wasn't a "they," it was a "she."
My very own little mouthpiece, my voice-in-exile.

We had been chatting with Phrog about HIS Z, when Kathy said, "Well,
aren't you going to tell him what YOU have?" I must have gotten the
"deer in the headlights" look, because after a few seconds she said,
"Well, he obviously isn't going to tell you, so I will."

She did.
