I am anticipating some significant marital problems this season due to the tremendous number of Z-related events to choose from. Never in my ten years of being involved in Z clubs do I remember such a full calendar! I used to tell my wife that I would limit myself to three weekend Z events per season (not including meetings). She has a habit of bringing up the fact that we have three children, which is two more than can fit in a Z. (Personally, I don't remember having three children but she says I was there).

So with all of the great events listed below, how is a man who wants to remain married to choose?

It's going to be a GREAT season!!

* Meetings every 2nd Wednesday from April to September

* May 22 & 23rd - East Coast Z Nationals - Carlisle, PA

* Jun 18-20th - ZANY's Northeast Z Adventure - Saratoga, NY

* Jun 26th - CTZCC's 3rd Annual Car Show

* Jul 9-11th - ZCCR's All Japanese Classic Car Weekend - Rochester, NY

* Jul 24th - CTZCC's Lime Rock Day Outing (tentative) - Lakeville, CT

* Jul 28- Aug 1st - 23rd Annual Z Car Convention - Nashville, TN

* Aug ?? - NJZCC's Annual Car Show - Bridgewater, NJ

* Sep 3-6th - Lime Rock Park Vintage Car Show - Lakeville, CT

* Oct 9th - CTZCC's 5th Annual Fall Outing - Darien, CT

Mannnnn, are you singin' to the Choir! :roll: I know every word to that song, Ross ~ don't even get me started.

AND, your list doesn't even include any of the stuff our Events Director has planned for this year! Autocross with the CART guyz, the Bob Sharp Lime Rock Park day, and all of the weekend Fun Runs last year made wonderful memories OUTSIDE the house, but agony when I got home.

Looks like a really landmark zeason in store for our members this year. Nobody can accuse you of being boring! :wink:

I LOVE THIS CLUB!

Been there, done that!

The solution is to tell your spouse that the driving season is only HALF the year here in the norheast (and hope that they buy it!).

OR put your Z away until the kids grow up ( I did ).

OR get her a Z of her own.

:)

[quote="Ross.Williams"]we have three children, which is two more than
can fit in a Z. (Personally, I don't remember having three children but
she says I was there).

Option #1: Buy another Z and teach the wife how to drive it, then form
one's own two-Z convoy to the event.
Option #2: If the wife doesn't like or refuses to learn how to drive a Z
with manual transmission, buy Big Mike's 260-Z A/T and proceed as
described in Option #1 above.
Option #3: Tell the kids to all pile in the back and no fighting.
Option #4: Buy a 2+2 Z.

[quote="Ros.Williams"] So with all of the great events listed below, how
is a man who wants to remain married to choose?

Option #1: Indoctrinate the wife into things Z, using great salesmanship
and charisma.
Option #2: Open gun cabinet and proceed cautiously but firmly.
Option #3: With all the great brains we have out there, certainly there
must be additional solutions which could be used to persuade a reluctant
wife of what she would be missing. The female of the species is supposed
to be the more naturally sociable, is it not so?
Option #4: Call or EMail my wife Kathy for assistance (her field is in
Psychiatry)!

I guess being single and kidless is good sometimes.

Lukily I'll have my liscence before most of the events start. Lets just hope soccer doesn't interfere too much.

Its so nice to be young with virtually no responibilities, and not to mention have the coolest car at school. :D

Yeah, I know.

I was young and single once, had several Austin Healeys (look them up) and a Bultaco motorcycle (look that up, too), my high school was full of pretty, long-haired girls and I had three part-time jobs. I was rich for a 17 year old in the 60s, beer was cheap and everyone was into love and great music.

But I left all that to 'see the world'. :roll: Well, HERE I AM!

How STOOPID! :lol:

well prezz, the way i see it is we have to have at least 365 members so you have a place to stay every night if mrs. williams kicks your butt out.you may not have a constant home, but you will have at least a couch to crash on thru the year. does this mean i have grill duty for the fall outing at the mansion that you used to live at???? mike

:lol:

i think Ron Morales has that job, but he might welcome your help.

We only need about 30 more members and Ross will have a room (couch)(garage)(shed) every night.
