It was another beautiful day in sunny Florida, with just enough cloud cover to keep things cool and comfortable. Just the day to stroll along the Z Cars at Jim Frederick's ZMeca. People were coming and going all day - but I did manage to get a few pictures in case you missed the gathering in Lutz.

I've put a few pictures up on the server

Looks like a great day Carl!! Besides the yard full of awesome Z's, the nice weather and green grass already make me anxious to get my Z on the road again in the spring.

I'm happy to see that Rick and Kathy made it down. I'm thrilled that he has stumbled across the Z community again! ...and he thought interest in Z's had totaly evaporated!

Regards,
Phil

Thanks for the pics Carl, I wish I could have been there. Instead I was stacking firewood in the sleet and freezing rain (it is getting to be a traditional winter in this part of the world)!

Now if we can only get you and some of your friends to come up to western NY next July 9-11 to partake in our annual Z weekend, maybe I won't feel as bad next December when you all are enjoying your Zs and I am stacking firewood...again! 8)

Nice, ( as I drool on my desk,) I wish we could have a Chrismas party. Of course snow is are downfall. That ZX with the police rims, that's a first. :? Still, all great lookin Z's. Thanks for sharing. So keep on tempting us, we will have to caravan down there sometime. It sure looks like Z heaven down there, and I like Pina Coladas and Gator meat, so I'm down for a trip. (When the 240 is done of course......I plan on putting some miles on it, catch up for all my lost time.) I love Z cars. :D

Yeah ~ it's really too bad we can't get our Florida brothers to become more interested in the Z cars.

Wish I could have made this trip, but it wasn't in the cards this year. Glad to zee Rick and Kathy found the chow table and the Zs. I'm so glad Rick has re-discovered all these fellow Z nutz after all these years. He must have been SO lonely! :(

*(LOOK guyz! Those people are wearing shortz and T Shirtz! Remember them???)

Yeah man, y'all ain't lyin'!!!

The moment I walked thru the gate into the back yard I hollered, "I
think I died and went to Z Heaven!!" For a guy like me who loves all
Z's but the earlier the Z the more I love it... I don't think I saw so
many S-30s in one place in about 35 years.

There must have been half a dozen w/VIN in the double digits. The
two in the shop (the green one on the jackstands and the gold one
back in the corner) were very close cousins of our two '69s (I forgot
the exact #s). Not shown in Jimbo's attached garage is a nice silver
car under construction which I think is VIN #19. And Carl had his
restored Baja Z (the race car in the picture) which if you could just
see it in person, touch it, crawl under it... OOOH! the nostalgia!!!

Trying to drive down in 2 days, I found out I'm not in my 20's anymore,
but it was worth every bit of it. If I do it again I might do 3 days instead,
or either fly down and rent a Z car from Jimbo.
Truthfully, I hope to make it an annual pilgrimage and would be glad to
chauffeur anyone else who might like to go with us.

All Z Best,..........................Kathy & Rick

Hi Rick:
It was great having you down - if even for too short a stay. The Gold Z in the garage is HLS30 00042 and I think the Dark Green one is #52.

Anyway - here is a picture of #19 in Jimbo's garage... on the dolly still...

FWIW,
Carl B.

Is my fav of them all. Looks like it stopped mid stream and was put in Jimbo's garage. For sure now I know my 70 car will go back into the original silver color code.

Nice choice, Clive! I don't know if you saw it when you were down.
There is just something about a 901 silver 240-Z, isn't there? I know the
car is a work in progress, but just seeing that beautiful car I just
couldn't help but kissing it, and hugging it, and stroking it. I wanted so
badly to jump in and take it for a drive but it being on a dolly, that would
not have been possible other than on the end of a tow rope..............

Hi, Frank, how've you been? Long time.............
I didn't know ole 2807 was orig. a 901 silver; for some reason
I thought she was a 903 blue that had been done in a different
blue in more recent years.
