It's missing the antenna, the "B" pillar vents, and it has funny mirrors. I think it's had a lot more done to it than just the mill. |

I was coming here to ask the same question....who bought it. I contacted the seller on hybridz and told him to tell the new owner of our two clubs....hopes he does. Not a bad buy at $10.5k |

Wait ~ somebody goes to all the trouble of putting THAT MUCH WORK into a Z, drives it only 3,000 miles and then sells it for 10 grand?? Naaawwww...... That must be the 'BEFORE' picture......before the telephone pole....before the fire.....before the flood.....before the carjacking and stripping.....before the speeding greyhound bus..... He didn't even mention the CF hood or snowplow spoiler. How could you forget to list THOSE if you paid for them? And it's Turbocharged?? |

Post subject: | Another EVIL Z? |
I dunno Frank, I was thinking it was a Series 1 (early) '71 which didn't have the portholes on the 'B' pillars anyway..... I like the color though, does that look like some shade of charcoal? Anybody else catch the "z" hood badge? Never noticed one before.... I think I would have left the hood plain..... I don't think the $10K is out of line. I've been checking one out in Milwaukee set up that way for $4K, but it needs an interior and paint, and I think the guy said a dash. Former CA car garaged past 6 yrs. The guy had a job change and doesn't have time to work on it anymore. |

I think 10k isn't bad at all for all the work that is done and if it was done well. |

Seller on Hybridz.org says new owner paid more than Ebay auction states which is a deal they worked out so the seller didn't have to cancel the auction. Look at the price this car didn't sell for....I think it is very clean! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... K:MEWAX:IT |

Am I a little crazy for thinking the first car looks like it has some rust that was just sprayed over? Beautiful car but man, buying a reasonably expensive Z sight unseen has gotta be a nervous experience. |

Absolutely right, MadLarkin ~ we had a member buy an "award-winning show quality Black Pearl" sight-unseen on eBay from NYC. He had the car delivered to him in Arkansas and it was an undriveable disaster. The frame rails were totally gone, after the seller advertized them as 'pristine'. The car AND the stripes had been hand painted with a BRUSH and the headliner touched the tops of both seats. Everything which had made it a Black Pearl had been changed and replaced by junk from JC Whitney. Seller wouldn't even respond to emails or phone calls and the buyer had to fly all the way to NYC to sue the guy. Even after paying the buyer back, the seller didn't want the car returned. Ya gotta be careful ~ there are outright crooks out there. |

Well, I certainly hope I am mistaken. The car *looks* great and the mill seems to have a great deal of work into it, would be a shame if it turns out to be a basket case. I didnt notice but does it mention how recently the car was sprayed? -Cameron |

The reason I posted the question is I am glad there is another LS1 car in the area. The fact that it's turbocharged makes it all the better! Price and condition are really a non issue to me. We're here to help the new owner enjoy the new ride and I hope we get to see it in person! Joe |
