Funny stuff! Paul Mackin introduced me last year to the "24 hrs of Lemons" races, which I had not heard of before then. The rules require you to spend no more than something like $500 on the car you race, which results in some pretty scrappy looking vehicles going around in high speed circles.

I've always wondered if there would be any advantage in removing the rear hatch from a Z on the track. Aside from massive amounts of exhaust fumes rolling back into the cabin, I suspect you could alter the aerodynamics quite a bit that way.
