Through the efforts of Phil Parent, our club photographer, we have a very complete library of photos from the 2009 season, which are all available on our website in the Photo Gallery section. I think you will agree that we have had a wonderful season to-date with our meetings, Lime Rock Day with Bob Sharp, Fun Runs, photo contests and several shows. We also have our two biggest events coming up in the next two months. While driving home from a meeting this summer I had the idea of putting together some sort of video montage of our season using photos from all of these activities. Well that idea never went anywhere for the following reasons:

I don't know how to do it, and
I don't have the time to do it

But I think it is still a great idea! Are there any takers out there that have the skill and time to do this? Colin G.? Paul M.?

It would be a fitting tribute to a great season and we could post it on our site for all to see and enjoy.

Any takers?

Duuuuuuuhhhhh....I'm even dumber than you are, Boss! Sometimes I can't even make my own photographs climb onto this website.

But this is a really good idea! After the final October picnic, when the carz are all packed away for the winter and we're shoveling snow and watching NFL, somebody should do this. A sequential compilation (or else photos of all the year's events, in order:roll:) would make a really happy thing to watch during the winter.

I remember how loooonnnngg last winter was, and how spring seemed like it would never come..... cry: Just such a photo montage might have kept some of us a little saner if we'd had one then.

Hopefully Colin Gentle, Bryan Little, Paul Mackin or someone else with computer video skills will take this up! We need to make sure that there is a sequence of photos of you and others eating pizza! Ross

Errrrr...shucks...neither my Dad or I are video-making gurus.

If more experienced people don't have time for such a project, I may be able to teach myself some new tricks and figure it out...it will just have to wait until November'ish. Just let me know.

Cheers,
Colin

I'd be glad to help out. I inherited the filmmaker bug from my dad who used to make 8mm films with sound of all our family vacations. I have some professional software I regularly use, so deal me in.
