Yesterday JohhnyZ and I took our 240s up into the wilds surrounding Portland CT for 4hrs of exploration. Highways, side streets, backroads and private driveways beckoned to our cars. John's car always runs perfectly and looks brilliant; I'm happy to report all my wheels stayed on, my engine ran fine and I made no bodily contact with anything hard, so it was an excellent experience. It was wonderful, as always, to run beside John's car on the highway and hear his ANSA exhaust blend with my droning Twice Pipes.

We drew some attention everyplace we went and people actually walked up to
John at street corners to talk about his car. We found a neat place open for lunch and were thanked for 'bringing a car show to their parking lot'.

The weather was near-perfect and traffic was relatively light all day. Sunday drives should be strictly reserved for Z owners, and when I'm elected President I will sign that Executive Order on my first day in office.

Thanks John, for another 80 happy Z miles.

80 miles / 4 hrs. = 20 miles / hr. :?

Sounds like a great day though!

 Haha! Yes Sir, that's exactly what we were doing, officer! 8)

John actually sucked a little paint off the side of my car passing me on Rte 8.

That includes an hour eating, another hour talking to people at stop signs, and stopping to photograph a few houses.

It was a fun trip.

We met some nice folks at this little dive bar called the "Victoria Inn" in Naugatuck, a place that you would probably rather drive by than stop in. We would do it again tomorrow. :)

I particularly enjoyed synchronizing the sounds of our exhaust notes while driving up RT 8 which was music to our ears. I guess only car guys can appreciate.
