Hi everyone. I inherited a gold 1979 280ZX from my grandfather about a year ago and have enjoyed driving it from time to time over the past 12 months. But with a 4-year old and a 1-year old and a tight garage, I havent been able to enjoy it as much as I'd like. Its too sentimental for me to sell, but I dont think I ll really be able to drive it much for a few years until the kids are older and I have more time to devote to fixing it up (mainly paint job, etc.). Any suggestions for a garage where it could reside for a while? Honestly it would be great if another member had extra space and wanted an extra ZX to drive occassionally. Naturally, I'd maintain insurance and the maintenance. As I write this, I was wondering could the club use a "loaner" car for new members or friends of the club to take out on member rides? Just a thought. Let me know if you have any ideas. Its depressing not to get out and drive it now. More depressing to see it just sit there!

Hey Billy,
Great idea and I hope someone takes you up on it. There is a place in Wilton that used to be called Tom's toybox that specialized in storing boats and cars. The owner of the place is a member of the club but his name escapes me right now (first name is Tom). Try doing an internet search for it. Hopefully someone will take you up on this offer. Regards, Ross

Billy ~

This is a very generous offer - THANK YOU.

You're sure you can't be convinced to part with it, huh?

Thanks Frank and Ross for your replies. I ll check out Tom's toy box and field any other "adoption" offers that may surface.

Billy,

How long is "a while" I have a two car garage and always wanted to have another Z inside, even if just to admire and drive once in a while to keep the fuel flowing. My Daily Driver could stay outside for the summer.

I'd be willing to give you free storage till about October 31st if that helps out saving storage fees for the short term.

Just an option if no better offer comes along.

Good luck Keith. If I had an extra bay, I'd be all over this offer.

Billy - Keith is about the most responsible guy your likely to meet in this club. This could be a great deal for both of you!

Thanks a lot keith. I ll fill you in on a couple of foibles about the zx before I trouble you on this (battery drain, etc). But that's very nice to offer. I ll circle up by email next week. Thanks again
