Aussie guy here again so my prices might seem high..
Keep in mind Australia only got about 3000 240Z's.

240Z
wreck. - if ever you can find 1. at least $2000
Ave condition - $5000 - $8000
Excellent condition. - $15000 - $20000

What year it is doesnt really matter. Later ones i believe r better.
Early ones had an off centre diff which they fixed about mid 71.
Early ones had ventilation through the rear hatch which they changed to behind the side window.
Weight is neglegible.
My old man had a 71 back when they were new and he pranged it. the front light sorounds where fiberglass.

260Z
2 seater.
wreck - again if u can find one. $1500
Ave con - $4000 - $7000
excellent condition - $10000 - $15000

2+2
about the same as 2 seater.

280ZX
at the moment there real cheap..
wrecks r easily found and even if u got a real smick one you'd be lucky to get $10000.

The 240 has the best value and everyone seems to want them..
If you ask me the best one to get is the 73 240 or 74 260.
All the probs were ironed out. The cars r stronger. The upgrades they did to the 260 r few but make a lot of difference when woring on it. eg, gearchanger lever mounting.

That sounds about what price you would find one here for, maybe slightly more. As far as what 240's to get I would say 70-72 and early made 69's especially. I read somewhere's that collectors don't acknowlege anything over the 73's for the Datsun's. but as far as I'm concerned, get what YOU want and enjoy the ride. I don't think any of my Z's are truly what I want in a Z, but I take what comes my way at a good price, and so far I'm happy with my collection.
