Traded my little S12 200SX for a slightly mint 260Z. So now I have 3 260Z's....hehe.

If I can bust ass this week, I might be able to get it to the big gathering....

I was going to drift it, but drifting it just wouldn't be my style...for some reason I think me sitting in an old Z is a better show. (even though drifting an old Z is literally the hardest car to do the sport in) I have all the parts, and the 200sx could have done it...but I just needed time to swap the parts, time to fab up the parts I have to fit, and time to get used to the car at other speeds other than legal speeds and learn the new cornering aspects...so I just kept the parts seperate, stopped spending money on it, and decided to just get another Z to actually have for daily driving. I liked the looks and the thumbs up I got from the people in the next lane when I had the red Z on the road, and the 200sx didn't get the same looks. Plus now I'm commuting with a guy to get to work, so my gas cost dropped into half..so jumping from a 4 cyl to a 6 cyl is not a pain anymore...so why not.

If I could get the red one running again...i'd take it in a heartbeat...but right now it's sitting without an induction system... the new 260 runs, but it needs some major work...so I hope to have it on the road in a week. It's got a few problems I got to fix, and then it should be a sweet car. I'm going to have to study up on those damn SU carbs now...all I know is FI, triples, and turbo. I might have to buy back the triples I sold to Frank

Looks like I have the weekend off...so I'll be in the garage for the next few days.... I'll prolly just end up pulling the motor from the red Z, put it in the brown Z...and drop the turbo motor in the red Z. Anyone want the old 2.6Lfor a side project?....I might keep the cam though.

Also...if anyone needs anything...I got to thin down the parts surplus. :(

Nice a '74.5. Are your other 2 early or late '74s?

red one is Dec 74, and the brown one is Nov 74... the yellow one I"m not sure...I've only seen it once. :( The day I bought it last year, I towed it on the trailer I bought, parked it at a friends house and never went there again.

Ahhh...

Well in case you aren't familiar, the early '74 260Zs have thin bumpers like the 240Zs, while the late '74s have thick bumpers like the 280Zs ;)

AJ! You got yet another 260!!! :D

Good on ya' Mate ~ altho you now have those D** flat top SUs to play with.
I'll bring you a case of aluminum foil and some ice water to carry around with you for trips longer than 3 miles.

Nice car, and the 260s are rarest of all Z cars.

(By the way, you've probably got about the same chance of getting those Webers back as the proverbial snowball has...... :) )

Frank
