Barry is either converting to a sugarcane-based flex fuel vehicle or fixing that oil leak he was telling me about. Either way, better him than me. I'll stick to changing spark plugs. Hope to see that Z (with engine) at our next meeting!

Ha! And Jim H was worried about reaching the bolts on his Turbo!

:D

Jim, THAT's what a SawzAll does! (or maybe it should be a "SawZall?")

(Gee, when Barry says his engine's "missing", he really means it)

Yeah Ross, you nailed it. The lousy thing is...

Got it all buttoned up on Sunday at 8 and it started right up with no problems...

But then the oil started dripping again

We had originally thought it was the pan gasket, but it turns out it's the oil pump gasket, which is extremely unusual.

Now I'll need to pull it again

Barry, I really like that work bib that fits over your fenders like that. I've been thinking of a way I could make one to fit over my '70. Hood opens from the front. What I'd REALLY like is something like a tray with 4 legs which could be adjusted to straddle the fender, so I could lean on it or lay over it without denting the aluminum. Wouldn't work for newer Zs, but the plain-jane older series have plenty of room btwn the block and the fender for two legs to go inside.

Hmm...using a sawzall...why didn't I think of that? I'll try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes...

Hi Barry, I'm a newer member here at ctzcc and i thought that i would intro myself. Nice stuff in your stables and looks like your having alot of fun even though its a "repair" and not an upgrade, oh well. I can't help but notice the fender skirt, were they off the rack or did you have them made up. either way nice touch.

The bib isn't mine, it belongs to my friend Alex, the motor pull was done at his place, to much junk in my small garage to do it at home.

Anyway, the bib is a Stillen product, they are the only place to make those available that I'm aware of.
