The Z world is abuzz about the prices the old Z cars are fetching these days.
Here is a very nice example of a "fair return" on a buyer's investment:

I might have heard something about this car or one like it a while ago; some buyer ordered an Anniversary edition with specific options and didn't like what he received. He drove the car home and parked it until his dealer could make the deal right ~ which never happened. So the car sat unused for 40+ years with only delivery mileage on it, then was auctioned for a hefty profit. This might be the same car, now resold, or a different one. It's been so long ago I no longer recall the exact details. Either way, it makes a loud statement about the value of our carZ.

["A smaller I6 would have a very limited run in the Z31 300ZX, but for all intents and purposes, the 280 was the last to Z to use an inline-six"]
Wait ~ What??? What "smaller I-6" ever powered a 300zx, please?
