Saturday at the VSCCA event at Lime Rock. Devon and Bruce were competing in the two day event. Devon brought his very well prepared Fairlady Roadster, Bruce brought his Roadster disguised as AH Bugeye Sprite!
Colin and I went to watch the Saturday races, a beautiful Spring day. I did get to run a number of laps at the end of the day. The Z ran perfectly, I was worn out!
Some photos attached.

Thanks for the nice photos. Devin is racing a Z at Summit point next week and we both plan to be at the empire cup in June. Hope to see you there.

As a FYI Datsun 5 speeds are often swapped into Sprites but not in mine. A 5 speed and a Datsun motor would be a lot faster than my stock 4 speed and 948cc BMC motor.

Nice shots Colin! Looks like it was a good day for you at LRP.

I ended up at a special Olympics benefit car show in Monroe on Saturday which was a lot of fun. Wished I could have been at LRP with you guys too. I'm still planning to be at LRP for the Memorial Day weekend event on Sunday and Monday. I hope to see some of you there.
Cheers!

For those of you interested in the vintage car races at Lime Rock you have the opportunity to have the best seat in the house (that does not put your car at risk) as a flagger or corner worker.

From a recent VSCCA email:

Corner Workers/ Flag Marshals needed June 2 & 3 Lime Rock

The Empire Drivers / VSCCA / HRG races at Lime Rock
About 200 cars entered. Some of the best vintage racing in the country

Volunteer needed. They can be your crew or extra friends that come to the track with you. A great way to get everyone involved in your sport.

No experience necessary. You will be paired with an experienced person.
You get the best place to watch the races and take pictures and be part of the action.

You do get Lunch and Dinner each day along with the party for everyone Friday evening.

You can sign up on motorsportreg.com or just show up at Jim Bottomley's trailer in front of the timing tower about 8:15 each morning.
