Kinda surreal reading what they used to say about the S30s when they were new. They did mention the drivability and vapor lock problems, but they did not directly mention the real reason: the flat top carbs that came in the 73 and the 74 before they were finally replaced with the Bosch fuel injection in the 75 280Z. You don't see many S30s today with the flat top carbs, they have been long replaced with the much better 70-72 round top SU carbs.
