I recently put a new set of Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 205/55R15V tires on my 71Z (made in Japan). These replaced a set of Yokohama S Drive (made in USA) tires that I had on the car previously. I installed those tires on the car back in 2017 and put just under 25K miles on them since then. I loved the way those tires performed and held their balance during that time  . My tires do tend to wear more on the inside edges due to the slight negative camber I run with which is caused by the slightly lowered set up from the Tokico springs and struts that I installed many years ago. The car does seem to handle much better with that set up though.

I was going to buy another set of S Drives, but found out that they no longer make them and was told that the Fleva's were a good replacement. So far I must agree. They seem to handle and ride well. Time will tell I quess. I figured I would share this information with you folks if you are looking to replace your tires. Other positive or negative tire experiences from members would also be of interest to all I think, so feel free to share them!

Cheers!

You know John, I don't think anyone here would object to a photo or two of your beautiful Z wearing her new shoes.

Good choice on the Yokohamas btw, I've always had good experiences with them. I'm ashamed to admit this, but I don't even remember what the last tires were I had on my Z, but they weren't a performance tire anyway. 195/70r14.

the old Yokos you wore when you tore my fillings out by throwing me around Watkins Glen a few years ago were spectacular. If these new tires are better than that, I'd be surpriZed.

Was just looking at those same tires when I stumbled upon this!

I’m stuck in analysis paralysis right now… 300 treadwear Yokos… or 200 treadwear Falkens- same tires as I have on the 510…

I know the Yokos will do better in the wet, but that would be a last resort only… since I don’t drive these cars in the rain. Leaning towards the Falkens…
