Our friend Scott Orsini at Executive Nissan in North Haven just notified me that they just received a new 2023 Z car. This one is painted in "Rosewood metallic" and YES!... It's a manual transmission! I'd like to see this one. Scott sent me these pictures showing the new Z still in it's shipping wrappers.

Nice looking car!

My dealer still hasn't received any new Z's. Still waiting

I can't read everything on the sticker. I would like to know how much "dealer fee" they are charging, compared to other Nissan dealers.

This afternoon with dry, salt free roads I took a drive with the white 240Z to Executive and saw the new brown Z. It's now in the showroom and looks like the basic model, 10K cheaper MSRP than the blue one at Grossman - although Executive has the same 10K "market adjustment" as Grossman so this car comes in at 52K. It has 18" tires and interestingly the weight seems to be the same as the A/T blue car. One thing I found out today is that these cars no longer come with a spare tire. It comes with a bottle of sealant and a pump. Interesting.

Anyway, Scott Orsini was not available but I left a voice mail, and perhaps we can do a fun run to Executive in the next couple of days while the weather is still good and meet there in the afternoon. Let me know if you are interested so I can get a head count.

Thanks Juan, good pics with the wraps off.

I am out of circulation for the next two weeks as my wife just had a knee replacement.

Cheers!

I would gladly drive up there in an SUV, but I still don't trust the salt conditions in every jurisdiction btwn me and them. My Z will stay garaged until after the spring rains wash all the salt off. When are you interested in going?
Frank

Just got a call back from Scott Orsini from Executive. The brown Z in the pictures sold this morning. He says we can go see it tomorrow before 6 and into the weekend, it will be delivered on Monday. No word on what it sold for. Probably asking price.

Just saw Frank's reply. I would prefer to go tomorrow while the weather holds dry. So, how about we meet there tomorrow at 4 - 4:30 pm? Will that work?

No problem. I went to Executive and met Scott Orsini on Thursday. He told me the Z sold at asking price to some lady in Arkansas and she was flying in on Monday and driving it back. I asked him when he thought he would get another Z and he said he did not know. The process to distribute the new Zs across the country appears murky at best. Let's see when we see another one.

I swung up to that dealership late last night and peeked into the showroom window. The car is sitting directly inside the doors with a red SOLD tag on the windscreen. Security guy cruised past and told me I wasn't the only person who had stopped after they closed.
At least I got to Zee it before it left. Hope she doesn't get it wet on the way home.

Well that Z sure didn't have a chance to get dusty in the showroom. I bet Executive never got $10K over MSRP selling Rogues or Altimas!
