Last trip to LRP for the season, headed up to Lime Rock Friday for the last VSCCA event. Friday looked the better weather day for the weekend event, especially since I wanted to take the TR3, no heat, no top! A few layers, hat, goggles and hit the road. Our CTZCC members Bruce and Devin were racing their Datsun Roadsters. Happiness is driving a Datsun race car, see the smile on Bruce's face! Some photos at LRP, and a photo of the TR at Lake Waramaug on the way home, Photo op and a beer! Colin, The older one 1970 Datsun 240Z #2483

Really good shots! How did you get that vantage point behind the flagman? Where was it on the track? |

Frank, that would be the Uphill. Where years of hanging out in that corner has definitely created some hearing loss! As per this ground pounder from Friday! Colin

That Dana Chevy looks very potent. What was that drum-brake #78 car in the background? |

Had a fun time racing. Did lose 5th gear Sunday morning during the 1st race. Could feel what I thought was clutch slip when I shifted into 5th and then a little bit later 5th was neutral. Still had 1-4 and reverse but my day/season was ended. 5th neutral/spun gear nut is apparently a common roadster 5 speed issue. Likely shipping trans out to get fixed this winter. Things break. Need to stock up on roadster parts. Thanks for the pictures. Based on one picture my off season winter job will be to drive a sleigh instead of a Datsun. |

I am not likely to get them from Santa so I am looking to buy a splined later style roadster 5th gear and also a roadster U20 block. It is not 240z parts but someone here might have both locally. |

Bruce, I was wondering if you managed to find a 5th gear yet? If not, contact Vinny of Bedini Motorsports at 860-355-182nine. He does Roadsters and Nickel-Dime cars. Frank T |

Great photo. Looks like the rear end was getting a little light. Can I appoint you as the official Giedra brothers team photographer??:) Look forward to other photos in the future assuming I get the motor and transmission back in the Roadster if not you might see me in a Austin Bugeye or a 260z. |
