Happy to report this has finally been resolved. DMV sent me a corrected copy of my Z registration so now my insurance company loves me again.

This mess took almost 10 months from start to finish, during which time I might not have been covered if my Z had tried to occupy the same space with another solid object.

Don't forget about Dick Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, they are always lookin to stay viable. Blumenthal is running for reelection too so he's probably looking for something like this.
