It was really painful when I crossed over the originality bridge. After that first, painful, irreversible, change was made with a drill, it has been nothing but pure joy.

Some Z's need to stay original, NO DOUBT. But thankfully Nissan made extras for us to use as parts cars, and for projects that reach outside the box.

Rick, one day I will have a stock car....hmmm I am thinking 907 green!

Scott, thanks for the kind words! I am telling you that I now ENJOY building the car even though I really like driving it. But being able to know feel comfortable enough to want to make something better and not just leave it as it is feels great.

Here is my dash now and I will be installing leds in my autometer gauges. After pics will be posted.

Clive, my man, if you are thinking about a bone stock original Series 1
in Code 907 Racing Green, I hope you don't have VIN #171 in mind,
or you will have to deal with a tough little Irishman named Kathleen!
That is her favorite car among all of them, being only 28700 miles.

I love you, brother, but not enough to part with the 171 car, much
less bust up my marriage, which is what I fear might happen if...........

All Z Best,...................................Kathy & Rick

Nice turn signal/Ebrake solution there, Clive. I'm still trying to figure out where mine are going to go, though I fear my solution will have to be different than yours...

Heh heh... not quite yet... they're in the mail. I don't have to worry about turn signals and high beam, they're integrated and I just have to figure out how to wire them in. However, I have no provision for the Ebrake light so I'll have to come up with something.

Well the dash went in....and back out.....and back in!

First try, everything worked besides the highbeam led. I hooked it up to the light source by mistake so to fix it the dash had to come back out. Hour later dash is back in and 90% of the wires tucked away and hooked up. I just need to hook up two more wires for the power windows and they are done. All three leds work, yay! Had both doors apart a few days ago and now they are all done. Next is hooking up the blower motor, installing the heater control panel, installing a radio and finishing up the interior.

I also want to reroute the heater hoses because they are ugly right now. I have to make a fuel pump bracket for saftey. I also need to fix my coilover problem......my front collars are trashed. Ground Control asked me to send them pics before they would even let me order. They really seem interested in trying to get this issue fixed.

Center Console:

No window crank: sun fade I need to fix on NOS panels

Almost done:

I ordered new collars and will look into cutting them down so I don't get the same result. Even though it looks horrible....this doesn't affect the car handling at all.

New rear spoiler should be here later this week and I am still on the fence about fender mirrors or not.
