This was an awesome gathering and for me, was food for the soul. Thank you to Quinn Bannon, John Kish and Paul Jensen for the effort and coordination to pull this together. And thanks to all of you that came out. As I said last night, when Jim and I first met in Darien back in September of 2005, we could never have imagined that 16 years on we would have 50+ people in a room for a "CTZCC" club gathering. I remember him saying something like "yeah - I'd be happy to throw something together for a website". Well that "something" has sustained us for a long, long time and I am so thankful that it continues to bind us together as friends and Z brothers.

Cruising home last night in a 43 year old car that transmits every bump in the road to the driver's seat but looks out over that long graceful hood was a long overdue therapy session. Although I am moving my residence to RI next week, I plan on attending as many CTZCC meetings and events as I can.

Ross

Wow! I must say I was blown away by the number of people who showed up for our first Z club meeting in 3 years. Thanks so much to all of you who attended!

I also want to thank those members who supported this event. I couldn't ask for a more accommodating host than Quinn Bannon of County Line Nissan. He has been an avid supporter of our club for a long time and his continued enthusiasm, love for the club and Z cars was quite apparent last night. THANKS QUINN!

A special thanks also goes out to my Z club friends who supported me in arranging this first meeting. Thanks to Paul Jensen, Jim Hagani, Frank Thomas and Alan Dempsey. I can't wait to see some of the pictures Alan took during our event. And lastly, thanks to Ross Williams who helped guide me early on this year in developing a successful CTZCC program.

As I drove my 50 year old Z car home last night under a gorgeous "Strawberry" full moon I kept thinking that this truly turned out to be a revival and reunion event for our club. I only wished I had more time to spend with all of my old and new Z club friends. I hope you all felt that way as well. That's just one more reason for planning another event soon and your suggestions are all welcomed.

Stay Tuned! Please check the club website frequently (Upcoming Events) as we are planning more "get togethers" this Zeason!

Not many of my pictures came out, but here are a few

File comment: One of my favorite reasons for attending meetings at County Line is so we can read the Datsun timeline around the walls. Here is a photo of "Mister Katawana" who apparently worked secretly with Yutaka Katayama to introduce the Z to the USA. He even resembles "Mr. K"!

Hello All,

My apologies for late photos. It's been a while since I had to download an album of photos. I kept starting, becoming frustrated with the "system" but hopefully it will work this time. If you cannot bring up the file, let me know and I'll try again!
It was a great meeting and so many familiar faces.

Hopefully enjoy...

Alan

My apologies again for the long time in posting photos from the meeting on June 23, 2021 at County Line Nissan.
I have been trying to create and forward an album on our iMac but had no success. I had to revert to Google/Picasa. I finally went back in time to examine a past albums and I now believe I have solved my peoblem.

Hoping for the best,

Great shots Alan! Thanks for your persistence in muddling though your "technical" difficulties in getting these pictures on the club website. It's fun to see all the cool cars and even cooler Z club members again! :D

EXCELLENT gallery, Alan! Good work.
I'll try to return that series of college girl photos to you now.
