I managed to score free entry to LRP for Saturday's racing events as a member of Hagerty's Drivers Club. It let's me park on the infield road berm. Cool!

Anyone else planning to attend on Saturday the 31st :?: :?: :?:

I'll be there! Headed there tomorrow morning and staying through Monday. We have a camp spot back by turn 5 right on the fence. Planning on driving the 510 and will be flying a Datsun flag high.

The Colins are typically there as well - I usually see their Z's.

Great!

I'll look for the Collin's and your Datsun flag during my walk around. I usually set up a couple of chairs on the infield hill down from the concession stand looking out over big bend and turns 2 and 3. My wife Evy will be joining me on this one.

I heard that Paul Marshall should be there as well helping out with his buddy's yellow 240Z that will be racing. I'll be checking that out too.

Looks like great racing weather for Saturday.

See you guys!

Oh, you're already there! Cool.
It looks like that is gong to be a very happy 620 when you're done with it. :D

BTW; there's a fair chance you could see some of the Aurora Borealis there tonight if people keep the lights down enough. Take pictures of it without flash and don't delete them if they don't appear promising in your viewer. Often when you download them the colors come right up.

Well, I intended to drive the Z to the Sunday classic car show, but I took it out along the coast tonight and dropped the exhaust off it. Jury-rigged it enough to get home but I can't take it with me for Sunday. I will make the trip in air conditioned comfort (again) and zee you guyz there sometime during the day.

Hey john-

Heard you stopped by. Sorry we missed you! It was such a nice day we watched all the morning races and then meandered back through the pits on our way back for lunch.

Great day of racing!

Yep, my wife and I spotted your DATSUN flag and stopped by, sorry we missed you. We did have a nice chat with Chris and the boys next door to you.

Frank, sorry about your pipe issue. Hope you make it to the concourse show Sunday. Make sure you see the Stanquillini at the big "Schwartz" tent. Jimmy painted at least three of the cars there including that Stang.

Regards,

Well Frank, the Stanquellini was there waiting for you. Jim's paint job was stunning as were the three other cars he painted next to it.

 Wow, that came out really, really well! He should be very proud of his work on that Stanguellini. The only thing I see missing is the door pull-cord to help the driver activate the latch when exiting. I had them on all my Healeys.
The Bertone Alfa Romeo beside the Stanguillini is by Jim too?

And I think I spy an Aston Martin DB2 hiding wayyy down there on the end?
