Yes Allen, my condolences as well.

So the TV interview is just around the corner - one week from this Thursday. Any seasoned member who would like to accompany me would be most appreciated and would make for a more comprehensive interview. You don't need to be participating in the fun run to help me out this way.

Anyone who has some time on Thursday Sept 27 11:30 to about 1:30 in New Haven, please reply to this thread and we'll coordinate the specifics.

Thanks guys!

Mini-Cruise update:

First off, we're still on for Sat. Sept. 29th!

Second, It has been brought to my awareness that for various reasons, media coverage is perhaps not the best idea right now so I have respectfully bowed out of the WTNH interview. And to be crystal clear, this meet up is not an 'officially sanctioned' CTZCC event - just a simple mini cruise and meet up for dinner and/or ice cream at the end.

We have 5 club members RSVP'ing their attendance and the 2 non-members invited both cannot make it.
Any member reading this update is who has not yet responded is cordially invited to join us for this simple and fun event. Please reply to this thread.
Extended weather forecast is looking good so far.

Thanks guys!

I'm still holding out hope that I can make it. My Z has to go back into the shop for window motors. It sucks having your drivers window stuck down for 2 days. Back up now, but constantly rubs the convertible top when I open and close the doors. :( I'll know more by early next week.

Alright folks, we're up to 7 cars now, that's great!

Weather forecast this Saturday looks absolutely perfect for the cruise and dinner, so come on out and RSVP anyone else who would like to join. I have found out the original venue for dinner/ice cream has closed for the season (earlier than they had told me a few weeks ago) but not to worry! I'm checking out a couple different options this afternoon - either of which would be perfect and not far from the original choice, so we'll have a spectacular time to be sure!

Once we roll at 5:00, the mini-cruise is just about 30-40 minutes, so we'd be sitting down for a nice casual dinner around 5:45. Feel free to relax and talk Z's as long as you like and it won't be a super late evening for those with a drive back home.

Woo hoo, looking forward to it!

Karl,
Will you have the 280 or the 300? I hope the 280 since that generation Z is not yet represented in the cars that are coming.

When we meet up at 4:30, I'll provide everyone a sheet of turn-by-turn directions for you or your co-pilot to navigate. Very straightforward, but it will be piece of mind in case of any separation from the group (which I hope doesn't happen).

See everyone this evening - really looking forward to it!

Will have the 280 as it is already in Old Saybrook and has not been driven much this year.
It is however the same as an older model they are all series one cars till the 280zx came out.

I was almost hoping for a not so nice Saturday and this run held today. The weather would not have mattered for the memorial service for a friend. Hope all had a great ride. Please post a photo or two.
See all at the Annual CTZCC Outing on the 20th.

Alan

Thanks Jeff for arranging a most enjoyable afternoon! :D

It turned out to be a great day for driving our six Z cars and viewing the beautiful CT shoreline scenery. Our route took us through the shoreline communities of Old Saybrook and Old Lyme CT. We ended up at Lenny's On The Beach in Old Lyme for dinner and drinks capped off by a gorgeous seaside view. Here's a couple of shots.
