I'll try again in the Fall. If still no interest, then I give up.
Thought for sure this would be a no brainer. I'm bummed...

Fall might be a good time anyway... less tourists and people so less traffic. And its cooler... perfect for cars with out AC or cars that get hot when sitting in traffic in summer... like mine hahaha.

Ill try and keep my eyes on this thread to see if I can make it to a fall run.

Planning on bringing the 510 from CT up to Boston in October for a couple weeks so this could be the perfect excuse to drive it up instead of trailering.

Sammychamois, Don't be discouraged. Summer is tough with lots of family things going on. I checked the calendar and we have grandkids for dinner and an overnight. Fall is a great time of year and the crowds along the shoreline should be diminished.
The heat has been so brutal, and now we have enough rain to put a real damper on plans.
I look forward to seeing another post from you for a fall event.

Alan

Yep, don't give up. I think you caught most of us at a popular vacation week, including me.

10-4 on the overheating in traffic!
I once knew a 240Z bozo who was leading a caravan of old Zs on a hot summer roadtrip. They got stuck in a stop-and-go bumper-to-bumper highway backup; three lanes of sit-still-in-the-sun-fun. This lead guy steers over to the shoulder and just crawls along at walking speed, leading the whole procession of old Zs past all the stalled traffic in the break-down lane just to keep air flowing thru the radiators. They had less than a mile to go to reach their exit, but they passed a Sheriff's Deputy stuck in the middle of the mess. They all waved and smiled politely at him as they chugged past. He pulled them all over on the exit ramp and told them things about their mothers they never suspected. But then he let them all go without tickets and complimented their cars.
That happened in some other state but I suspect it could happen here, too.

Thanks for all the encouragement, everyone - I appreciate it.
So we'll try again in the Fall. Right now I'm tentatively thinking Saturday Oct. 13th at 4:30pm.
More details will follow closer to that date.

That just might work...

Will make for a big Datsun weekend...

Planning on bringing the 510 up to Boston for this event.

Was planning on making another thread for it when I got closer.
