Hi yawl .......... 1st time have had a break after the move to GA to do anything non-move related.

Just perusing the local GA area for upcoming car events and "bingo".. 2018 ZCON event October in Atlanta
schedule still shows as tentative but looks like quite an event.

Anyone from up north thinking of coming down? We miss ya .....

We did the physical move on Dec. 16th, shipped the Z and 3 other cars. Drove the Expedition down with boat in tow.
I need to start looking for a pontoon boat, but, we're spending quite a bit getting things where we want them, seems like
for the last month almost every day has has a plumber, electrician, appliance or installer scheduled. I'm also trying to do
some work from hear via VPN remote to CT office and found out satellite INTERNET "sucks". Just last week found a hard wired
cable co. thru a neighbor and have 300mbps internet ..... yeah!

Anyway, gotta go. Hope to hear from some of you. I have some archival early CT240Z car club material to scan in and pass along
uncovered in purging during the move. We shipped 46,000 lbs. to GA after Carol filled up the Good Will store over the summer.

Best to all
Jack

JACK!!! You're ALIVE!!

We do miss you, but we're rawtha envious that y'all are not freeZing your muffler bearings off down there in the Peach State. I rode a BMW motorcycle down there for three winters (no bugs!) and I do miss that part of it.

So, will you be our CTZCC ambassador to the South, or will you strike your colors and join a local club down there?

Great to hear from you, best to Carol if she hasn't forgotten us by now.
Frank T

Carol sends a big hug.
For the most part been walking around in short sleeve shirts ..... we've had some cold
nights in the teens but goes into the 40's on cold days. Funny, we went to a get our Soc. Sec.
Part B, it was in the 50's, we're in short sleeves and everyone in the waiting area is wearing coats.

I'll send more info on ZCON as it develops so you can chat it up.

Best
Jack

Google map says Connecticut-Long Island to Atlanta, GA. is 900+ miles / 14+ hour road trip. Further and more time if coming from Rhode Island area. One hell of a road trip though and a lot closer then Texas.

Frank, I already have CTZCC cards and info to take with and jacket and tees to wear.

BTW, one of the performance sponsors has a link to CTZCC

Regards the trip, we're 80+ miles SE of Atlanta. Coming the back way thru hill country, we drove down
in our expedition towing a boat and had a nice 2 day trip. Once out of NE the only traffic issue is always charlotte,
but it at lease moves. We had some hwy construction delays when we came down labor day week. Nothing in Dec.

Good hearing from you John!

You have another event coming up in April. I was reading the February issue of "Grassroots Motorsports Magazine" and there was an add for an event called the "Nissan Heritage Celebration" to be held at Road Atlanta April 27-29. More info apparently on THEMITTY.COM. Never been but it sure looks interesting! :o

Thanks, I'll look into it. I know they'll introduce the HERITAGE EDITION 370Z this year, but, I've not heard of the
event in April.

Hey Jack and Carol,

Didn't know you were moving south, y'all.

Just a note to wish you Happy New Year and well in your new digs.

Alan

I just returned from a 14-day 2,000+ mile round trip to SC, then to Canada, then back in a rented air-conditioned land yacht during perfect February weather. Still recovering from that. Spent more than I should have, missed several important engagements here while I was gone, and totally alienated the wife.

I honestly can't Zee myself adding another 1,000 miles on top of that, in a non-AC 240 to go deeper South during the summer. I've been to Atlanta in October and it can still be hotter than a $2 pistol, and it might interfere with the local Annual Fall Outing (?). You guys would probably have to bury me Down Home somewhere along the way. I will have a rough time even getting away again for the Rochester meet in July. I should not count on ZCon this year. Gomen Nasai, ne? Hug Carol for me.
