Well I guess were going, Hotel booked. Many reason to go, for one it's ZCON, it's the 30th anniversary, The Texas Chili Party at it's source, a track with no walls, beautiful scenery, and loads of Z fun. Our route is already planned for we'll be stopping in Danville VA to visit family and stay over night. After the shooting range we'll head to Texas but will stay over night once, maybe twice. I think taking the truck and trailer is what sold my wife on the idea....A/C, cruise control, smooth ride, and I can't drive fast :? ..............but that's ok, all the better for track day. :D So, who's ready to get blinded in Texas. 8)

JUNE 1st...Time is getting near, and of course not ready yet as usual. Most of the work has been overhauling the truck taking the Z to Texas. All I left on it is the drive belt and some spark plugs....clean the windshield. The next big task is finishing a trailer I call "Death Star"......and almost done, major work just finished, and some ramps have to be fabricated. I don't have time for a tractor beam assembly.......maybe next time. :? The Z just needs a front brake job and cleaned up a little. Goal is to be ready the 13th so I can take Flag Day off. going smooth 8)

Well plans just took a 180, but all will end well, we hope. I now have to leave Monday for Colorado Springs for a funeral on 6/17, and then drive to Austin. It's the only way I can make the show, I can't just fly out, fly back and make it to TX in time. Patti will fly out with my parents, and I'm picking up a cousin in NY, so not alone.....of course in the eyes of the lord, we are never alone, R.I.P "Iron Man" "Uncle" John. "The show must go on" he would say, So CTZCC stickers on car and truck  CTZCC apparel  ZCCNE apparel  ZCCR apparel  1972 240z  Ready to go.........well almost. So I'll keep the spirits Hi.....and DRY, and Z you in Texas Al & Renee'. btw, it is now "Mad Mack the Wing Man's Blind in Texas "World" Tour" w/ Patti Mack the P square dual.  Z ya

He's all set Frank, I went over a few weeks ago and gave a hand, ended up putting a new slave cylinder in, and did not need the adjustable one and the fork with the hole in because he has the zx 5-speed. So that's a myth. All he had left was a drive shaft with some play in the u-joints, and I just happen to have one early short driveshaft with 45k miles on it. Then he just ordered a new radiator, bigger for more cooling.........going to need it. I myself have 2 big coolers for my truck transmission.......going to need it. Wish us luck, it's going to be a looooooong journey.

It's OK.
It's called "the advantage of a late start" and it's well-known in military and college circles. When the fuse gets short you are pressured to do your best in a shorter length of time, so you just don't let yourself mess up. The results are usually excellent to outstanding.
You're going to have a great time, and you'll have the chance to meet some of our out-west members!
