I am excited to invite all of our members to the club's 11th annual Fall Outing!

Many people say this is their favorite event of the season due to the relaxed format. No need to wash, polish, wipe or wax - just show up hungry and preferably in your Z!

Every participant that shows up in a Z, Roadster, 510 or GTR will be automatically entered into a free raffle of items from our sponsors and the club. Included in the raffle will be FOUR framed posters donated personally by Bob Sharp.

Date:
Sunday, October 23rd

Location:
97 Christie Hill Road
Darien, CT 06820

Time:
10:00am – 3:00pm

Off-street parking (on level grass) for approximately 70 cars – overflow space for additional cars if necessary.

Rear enclosed yard for young children.

Spouses, friends and children all welcome!

The club will provide food and beverages.

You can bring: folding lawn chairs, desserts!, unneeded parts for our free swap area.

Please no pets, drugs, alcohol, engine reving, burn-outs, etc.

Hope to see you there!

Ross,
As always, I'm looking forward to the annual outing.
If anyone is interested in a caravan to this event, let me know. It's a great ride on the Wilbur Cross and Merritt Parkways. In the past we have started at BJ's in Wallingford and made stops, or ride throughs, at the North Haven, Orange, and Fairfield rest stops. Please post a comment if you are interested. I will post pertinent information if and when there is interest.
Alan

The best event of every year, and the saddest. Saying goodbye to our carz for the winter is hard to do.

I am starting to put together items for the free raffle. All participants that show up in a Z, Roadster, 510 or GTR will receive one raffle ticket.

So far:

There will be four framed Bob Sharp Racing posters included in the raffle. These have been personally donated by Bob Sharp.

Keith Hultmark will be donating his entire library of ZCCM magazines to the table!

Ben Rosen of Zilver Lights will be donating a 300ZX Z32 LED light kit to the table. This is a full interior kit that the winner can choose from red, white or blue.

Because of "0" response to the idea of forming a caravan to the annual CTZCC outing, I am dropping the idea. I, will instead, make the drive to Darien a bit earlier and try to help Ross and Brenda with any last minute set-up.

See all there,

Alan

Looking Forward to the Outing, I missed many of the meetings this year.

Can't wait to see Z people.

I'll also have the CTZCC Merchandize available for purchase....proceeds helping to fund club events like this.

Well I'm really gonna miss the Larz Museum show today, Japanese cars is the highlight. I'm just buried with things I have to get done soooooooo I can make the Fall Outing, ....but not in my Z :( but that's ok, it's for a couple reason, 1 is the shifter when haywire on me and due to other things just put her away for the season. 2, I will be heading to NY afterwards to visit family, go deliver a door by Utica, then on the way back stop in NJ to drop of parts and help fix a Z, then drop a transmission off in Long Island.................does anybody else need anything since I'll have my Truck, so I can bring big things like doors and hoods. I also just acquired 3 new Z cars.....another reason I'm very busy, have to have the place looking good before I leave, not like a junk yard. So now I have an early 72 that I will be restoring as more of a factory spec car. Then a early 260 and a 77 280.....along with a huge supply of used and New parts. The 260 is a parts car, and lots of good stuff, not into cutting up the body, I think it's worth saving. The 280 is parts as well, engine will be going into a 280 I'm working on, lots of other good stuff. I'll start a thread on the new 240 when it slows down this winter. Z ya there.

Paul ~ it will be great to zee you again. Be sure to meet our new member Andy (TheFastKid) at the picnic. He just bought a nice 260 and might have a list of questions or parts you could help him with.

The free raffle table is starting to come together with four framed Bob Sharp Racing posters, merchandise from RDZ Motorsports, CTZCC, Zilver Lights and ZCCM. All participants who drive a Z, Raodster, 510 or GT-R will receive a free raffle ticket. Brand-new silver Acura NSX's, do not qualify (Gary Tylinski)!

if any of you gurus can pop some 240z door cards out without damage and its a pretty quick process... maybe one of you could assist me this weekend. It sounds like a custom pry tool and some familiarity with the construction makes all the difference.

That said, not trying to create a big project if it isn't a simple operation.

I mentioned it in my other thread, but if all goes to plan I will be driving down the Merritt from Milford in the morning. If people are streaming by I could hang by the park and ride near Sikorsky and jump on the bandwagon as it rolls past. Figure if the car has an issue halfway there, no better group to be on the side of the road with.
