Hi All,

Here is the link I made reference to during tonight's meeting. Enjoy, and let us know if you are planning to attend a specific show!

Great stuff Filipe, thanks!

I keep harping each year about the Middletown CT Cruise Night on main street, so I'll toss this out here now, too. This is statistically and realistically the largest FREE car show in the whole state. Cars of all brands made prior to 1991 enter free, park along main street (clubs can park together if they arrive together) and admission is FREE. Everything is free except for the ice-cream and cheeZeburgers.

This year's event is scheduled for Wed night/15June.

Last year (and every year since 2001) they've had more than 1,000 cars attend (they couldn't even count them all last year) and an estimated 10,000 visitors. Special Interest cars (made after 1991 but of interest to the public ~ such as 300zx and GT-R cars) can show free in a special area, but don't park with the older classic Datsuns and Nissans. There is no pre-registration and no fee (altho they do beg a $5 donation if you feel like helping their local fire dept). Here's the link:

And if their classic car cruise night is wild, their classic MOTORCYCLE MANIA cruise night is insane. More than 6,000 classic motorcycles showed up last year, and over 13,000 people came to drool on them. Again, everything is free except the food you buy. All the restaurants stay open well past the show closing (at dusk).

This year's motorcycle event is on Wed/10Aug, from 1630-2030. Here's the link for this year's event:

You just have to be nuts or in the hospital to miss either of these great, free events, dead-in-the-center of the state. They call it Middletown for a reason.

Frank

Happy to help guys.

Frank, I've heard great things about the Middletown event. It is on my calendar now that I am free from books and tests!!!
