Hi All,

We have a member in need of assistance so we are setting up our first ever club work-day.

I think we all know Rick Morgan who joined our club many years ago and is the owner of "Lucky #13", the 13th 240z to ever roll off the assembly line. Rick also owns several other important and collectible cars including Z's (#171) and a roadster.

Two years ago, during an October ice storm, several trees fell onto Rick's collection. The outdoor shelters he stores the cars in were crushed and damaged the vehicles. That was followed by 44 inches of snow that winter, which flattened the remainder of the shelters onto the cars.

So we are setting up a work day to pull the cars clear, cut down the remaining trees, and then rebuild the shelters. We may have interior frames for the shelters, which we can assemble and install. We want to try to patch the tent rips as needed, to give the cars adequate cover for this winter.

PLEASE consider joining us for this workday:

You can bring:
Chainsaws, hand-saws, large shears for cutting trees and brush
Pick-up trucks for hauling away brush and trash
Large trash bags
I will add to this list as more needs become known.

The club will buy pizza for lunch.

Rick's address is:

18 Sunnyside Drive
Northford, CT 06472

Hey Al. No problem. We knew there would be people that had conflicts no matter what date we picked. Depending upon how much we get done, there might be another work day.

Gloves. Bring your own gloves. And ear plugs.
And a hard hat if you have one. Football or race helmets or even bicycle helmets are better than risking getting conked by a branch. If you don't picture yrslf actually getting close to a tree with sharp instruments, come anyway; lending your perception and ideas is better than staying home and letting us try to figure it out alone. None of us is as smart as all of us. We'll need brains as well as brawn.
Might not be a bad idea to bring along some bandaids, either.

I have an electric chain-pole and 200ft of electrical cord and a couple pair of safety glasses I can bring.

I'll put it on my schedule ....... bringing chain saw and my expedition. My trailer is not usable, but if there's a trailer available for brush hauling I'll do the pulling.

I'll have my pick-up truck and we can use that for at least some of the brush / tree branches.

I was going to bring my chainsaw but couldn't get it started. But it looks like we will have at least two of them there.

And guess what? I am bringing chili, soda, water, chips and cookies for lunch. Sound familiar?

Too bad, Ross ~ your whole family could have survived thru the winter on that stuff! It's the food of choice for teenagers and college students.
