I am excited to invite all of our members to the club's 10th annual Fall Outing!

Many people say this is their favorite event of the season due to the relaxed format. No need to wash, polish, wipe or wax - just show up hungry and preferably in your Z!

10:00am – 4:00pm

Off-street parking (on level grass) for approximately 70 cars – overflow space for additional cars if necessary.

Rear enclosed yard for young children.

Spouses, friends and children all welcome!

The club will provide food and beverages.

You can bring: folding lawn chairs, desserts!, unneeded parts for our free swap area.

Please no pets, drugs, alcohol, engine reving, burn-outs, etc.

For any of you new-joins who have not yet had the chance to meet and chat with the great Bob Sharp (6-time SCCA Championship race driver), this is the most-relaxed, longest-exposure opportunity you are likely to ever get. Bob loves to talk about Zs and racing, and his memories of the early days of racing the 240Z are hilarious. If he had choZen to, Bob could have been a very successful stand-up comedian.

The weather is looking perfect for next Saturday's tenth anniversary Fall Outing! The event runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm with a free raffle at 2:00pm. Items in the raffle include donations from ZCCM, CTZCC and Bob Sharp! Included in the raffle will be FOUR framed posters of Bob driving his award-winning Datsun Z. All participants that arrive in a Z, GTR, 510 or Roadster will be given free raffle tickets. Chili and hotdogs are back on the menu but please feel free to bring a dessert. Also, bring those Z parts that are accumulating under your mattress and in the attic for our free swap table. Included on the swap table will be some free items such as race posters.

Perfect weather, doZens of Z carz, and a picnic with Bob Sharp!!! How would a day get more ideal than that?

Well, I've just received confirmation that our German member Thor Link's lovely daughter Laura will be with us, too! Laura spent two years working here, then returned home to Germany in order to update her passport and visa so she could attend college here in CT. There were lengthy bureaucratic issues and several Club members became involved to help her, and today she is registered and attending college here! We will zee her at this event for the first time since she came back to CT. Wish her daddy could be here with her, but we'll be sure to send him many photos of Laura talking with all his fellow CTZCC members.

Tomorrow's Outing is going to be a *very* special one...it's hard to believe that this will be the TENTH! That says a lot about this club (and a lot about Ross' unwavering dedication to this club).

You'd think that after so many years of hosting large crowds and lots of Z's, Ross would be slowing down, but just the opposite is true: he's been working overtime this year to put together, in connection with the Tenth Anniversary, an Outing that will be the best one yet. Ross has been cooking up a boatload of his awesome chili, which he'll be serving alongside humongous hotdogs, he's assembled a massive free raffle with dozens of prizes, he has confirmed that Bob Sharp will be joining us, and much more.

I'd like to thank you, Ross, in advance for the great time we're all going to have tomorrow. Thanks for doing this year after year and for putting this club together and helping to keep it going strong.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow in Darien!
