Keith,

Looking forward to the CTZCC August meeting at your scenic location. Now all we need is great weather and a super turn-out!
Old Saybrook is a very pleasant ride down Rt 9 (once I get through Rt 66 and Middletown).
See y'all there!

Alan

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Missed the last meeting because I was preparing my 280Z for the trip to ZCON2015 in Memphis, TN.

Watching Wednesday weather. Looks good so far.

Bring a chair as we may meet/relax outside the whole time. And park in a special area with nice views of the CT Rivers as pictured

Drive only 20mph or less down Sunrise Ave leading to the Marina.

Should be a great night.

Weather is looking good for Wednesday. I plan on holding the meet outside the entire time on our Island and Gazebo. Drive straight into the Marina. My Z will be parked in front of the Bridge to the Island to guide you. (first photo)

I will have us park on the cement pad out there . I will have turn in the stones then back onto a large cement pad and Park in a diagonal line. This to avoid tire scrub marks on the pad. Should turn out to be a very photo worthy setting. (second photo)

Pizza and Soda/Water will be served in the open Gazebo.

Please:
-Bring a Chair
-Obey The 20 MPH speed limit down Sunrise Ave
-Come to the Meet

While no one has reported any skeeters...if you have repellent, maybe you should throw it in the Z. I'll try to remember to pack some.

More than three doZen members arrived in more than two doZen Z cars and one golf cart. Lots of conversation exchanged as members clustered around one car after another. Some parts changed hands too, in the never-ending effort to keep everybody's classic Z on the road.
A slight sun shower sent everyone scrambling to his own car to roll up windows and deploy convertible tops. PiZZa arrived by the aforementioned golf cart at exactly the right moment and the masses were well fed and watered. Several speakers updated us and included our members who attended (and survived) ZCon in Memphis. High on the list of news was the fact that our Richardson, Texas member Jim Arnett finished off the restoration of his late-'70 240z *JUST* in time to haul it to this year's ZCon. At it's VERY FIRST judged competition, Jim's jaw-dropping 240 swept the table of all the trophies, including Best of Show and Gold Cup. If Jim didn't have his TV up too loud, he might have heard the applause and cheers he got from us, all the way down there in TX. The work was all Jim's, but the fact that he's our member made us really proud. And of course Jim created our very-popular Restoration and Repair Tips forum for this website, so he could walk us thru the restoration of his car step-by-step.

It was great to Z everybody tonight, and to meet the new members and those who were attending for the first time.

And a special thanks to Keith for arranging to have all our Zs washed for free at the same time.

I enjoyed having you all at the Marina. The setting turned out better then I imagined. Here are some photos I took. Including one of Al our photographer who no longer gets to be in photos.

Another successful meeting of the CTZCC at Island Cove Marina in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

Keith, you did a super job planning and holding a very enjoyable meeting. Thanks a bunch to you and Island Cove Marina.

Attached is a slide show of this event. It's a bit longer than others but there was a lot to photograph.
