The snow has finally started receding and the temperatures are once again approaching season averages, just in time to kick off the 2015 CTZCC season.

We are pleased to announce the venue of our next meeting, which has become a member favorite meeting location, On Track Karting in Brookfield, CT!!!

Schedule:
6:30pm to 7:30pm Hang out and catch up with Z friends in parking lot
7:30pm Pizza and drinks in the "paddock" by the indoor track
8:15pm Registration and safety video
8:30pm Kart racing (optional - great to watch as well)
9:00pm Wrap-up

Before you start thinking that these are little electric go-karts with no speed, they are Sodi GT5s with gasoline engines and no governor. Top speed is about 40 MPH, which is pretty fast for an interior track.

Pizza and drinks will be picked up by the club but races on the track will cost $16.00 per person for each eight minute race. You do NOT have to race - it's also fun just to watch. This is a group rate which is a 20% discount over the "walk-in" rate. Also, drivers must wear a head sock, so you'll need to pay $2.00 for one (which you can keep) or bring one from last year if you still have it.

As in prior years, a trophy will be awarded for the club member with the fastest single lap time! Who will be this year's winner?

On track Karting provides everything you will need to race including a head sock, helmet and neck brace (in various sizes).

Please plan on joining us for a fun-filled evening and your chance to hold kart bragging rights until next year!

One exciting thing to see is and LS1 swap into Riches 300zx Pandora also we have a Sema S-14 in the shop with a LS-1 in as well both really something to see.

Good point so we get as many of the family together as possible.
I might take a Z even if raining and view it as a early Spring Cleansing/wash of get pre season bottom rinse... as long as they don't decide to spray road chemicals in advance. Though we should be on roads south enough such that the State doesn't do that.

It was a great meeting last night and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all that came after such a long absence. Justin Tang, Steve Cole and Colin Gentle Jr took the honors with the fastest lap times (1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively). My fastest lap time was only achieved after trying to follow one of them closely!

Interesting that the top 3 times this year 44.577, 45.583, and 45.821, were faster than the ultimate FTD from last year (45.858 turned in by porkbun):

Thank you for putting on a great first meeting! It was wonderful to see many friendly faces again.

Great racing with everyone as always! I got lucky with a decent kart that had tires not at the bottom of the wear indicators as well as having 2-3 laps without traffic. I hope everyone made it home safely! Colin still doubles my trophy count...

It was so much fun getting together with everyone last night. Even though the temperature was shouting "winter", the fact that our season finally got underway means it really is spring.

Congratulations, Justin, for breaking Colin's streak...I'm already looking forward to next year's meeting/rematch! And I have a feeling it may be more than just a "two horse" race...
