Hi Everyone,

FCSCC will be holding their annual autocross school next Saturday (March 28th) to open their 2015 season. Information and registration can be found here: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/20 ... Qw-E47F8fC

The school takes place Sat. morning-late afternoon in Stratford, CT.

Sounds interesting/tempting as I've always considered maybe getting into AC a bit. Juss wonderin' how todays snow on top of the past will impact the lot  by next weekend. Or do we just put snow tires on, tough I realize a "little" slippage can add fun  to the mix.

Hey Gary,

Autox is a rain/shine kind of sport. If there is snow on the lots, we will not run though. The club officers have been scouting the lot and at least before Friday it was clear of any snow. I don't think Friday's snow was enough to last the whole week, so it should be clear.

An alternative to this autocross school is the SCCA starting line school. It is more pricey, but is run on a larger site (Devens, MA) and is run by SCCA so it is somewhat more "official". I will post another thread on that soon as it takes place April 18th. The FCSCC school is cheaper, local, and more laid-back/relaxed.

Either school will be great for anyone wanting to get their feet wet before diving straight in. But autocross is really the easiest form of motorsport to get into and caters well to rookies, even without the schools, so no worries on diving in later in the season if you miss these.
