**** THIS FUN RUN HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9, 2014! ****

Paul Jensen is again hosting a fun run at his Shelton office (for the fifth time, I believe)!

Here's Paul's announcement:

"I am holding another Shelton 'Z' Fun Run for all Datsun-Nissans (and/or any other 2 seat sports car). The date is Sunday November 9 8AM-11AM (original date WAS Nov. 2nd). The address is 5 Commerce Drive Shelton, CT at the Coldwell Banker Frascatore office.

DIRECTIONS: Exit 12 off Rt. 8 (coming North it's a left off the exit, heading South it's a right off the exit). Straight ahead through the light at Bridgeport Ave. AND ENJOY the twisty mile up the hill to the finish line and Checkered Flags!

Continental breakfast will be provided. For the hearty (daylight savings time changes during overnight before) early risers there is a Duchess, a Diner and Panera Restaurant on Bridgeport Ave. near the office.

Bring a chair, some stories, and let's hang out!

Hi Karl,

A "Fun Run" is an informal Z outing organized by a member as opposed to one of our club meetings or events. Anyone with an idea can post a Fun Run for others to participate in. As an example, Greg Emmons has organized a nice outing to an apple orchard and park during peak leaf turning times. Paul Jensen has hosted this fun run many years.

Looking forward to the, most likely, last fun-run of the season. Paul has always provided a good cup o' joe and better than average nibbles.

Bummer!

One of my favorite runs since it is back to my Home Town. :thumbs_up:
However, I will be away and so will miss this one! :(
You would think a guy from your old neighborhood, who you grew up with over many years, you went to school with, and even played Little League on same team with, and now in same car club - would at least check to ensure your ability to attend ?! :roll:
Well I guess I'll have to give him a pass. :wink:
Though I could make the rain date ... :idea: :?:
so could be there maybe, with help... if Mother Nature steps in for me. :twisted:

I'm with ya Gary...let's do a Rain Dance.....of course I'll be in Vermont, so might be a snow dance for me. My calendar has a big void around November 9th. :thumbs_up: If not, have fun without us. :thumbs_down:

Ok you Nov. 9th ers, you've had your fun. I'll be watching the weather, right now Sunday looks good, but I'll zero in on it Sat. afternoon.......and postpone if it looks unwelcome. I'll send a message to Jim H. and he'll post it here.

Here's what I can do.
We're down visiting friends at the Villages in Sunny and Warm FL.
I was almost considering leaving early Saturday , just to maybe make Sunday event... though it would be tough after 20+ hours of driving the day before. :?
But now the forecast for a few hilly and picturesque areas I had planned on driving in Carolinas, VA, and PA (and avoiding 95 and DC) are calling for snow and cold temps. Though I have my SHAWD Acura RL which is normally great on bad roads, it currently has brandy new Summer only Pilot Super Sport tires and wheels on (vs my winter set), so Low temps and snow are out. :shock:
As such we'll delay return a bit for the foul stuff to pass and melt. :roll:

However, if Paul postpones due to what ever happens in CT, I'll pack trunk and cabin with warm sunny FL air and let it out back once in CT :lol: !

The Shelton Fun Run will be rescheduled to the rain date Nov. 9th Sunday 8:00-10:30AM. It was set for tomorrow Nov. 2 but even if the weather turns nicer overnight, the lot is buried in wet leaves and there won't be time to clean it up. I'm optimistic next week will be better.
Jim or Ross, please post this change in the event write up.

I hope it wasn't something I wished... errrr said - that made all those leaves fall.
Actually it has been blowing like crazZeee down here in the Villages of FL. :shock:

Hopefully the roads will be clear on our path back after the storm passes. :? Regardless we'll be back in time so I can make the 9'th. :lol: :thumbs_up:
