I am excited to invite all of our members to the club's 9th annual Fall Outing!

Sunday, October 12th
(If weather is questionable, check http://ctzcc.com or call 203-7*2*2-3961)

Location:
97 Christie Hill Road
Darien, CT 06820

Time:
11:00am – 4:00pm

Off-street parking (on level grass) for approximately 70 cars – overflow space for additional cars if necessary.

Rear enclosed yard for young children.

Spouses, friends and children all welcome!

The club will provide food and beverages.

You can bring: folding lawn chairs, desserts!, unneeded parts for our free swap area.

Please no pets, drugs, alcohol, engine reving, burn-outs, etc.

Hope to see you there!

We should certainly extend an invitation to the Drive In Control group to join us.

In years past we have been able to organize a super caravan (12 Zs a couple years ago) down the Wilbur Cross and Merritt Parkways to the CTZCC fall outing at Ross' in Darien.
We have met at BJ's parking lot on Rt5 in Wallingford and made subsequent stops at the parkway rest stops in North Haven, Orange, and Fairfield. I hope I can drum up some interest with members driving south. The parkway (CT15) is an easy route from I84 and I91 at Meriden.
When I begin to see interest, I will begin to set meeting times.
Alan

Interest.

The only reaZon I haven't joined you in the past was because I volunteered to help do something at the Mansion, and had to be there before y'all. They don't need me this year so I can arrive at the normal time.

If you're not stopping anyplace else along Rte15-S, I guess that No.Hvn rest stop would be the closest to me. What time you figure you should cruise thru there?

I will have to check what we did year before last and will post. I hope we get a good response.

Frank, and others looking for a caravan to the annual CTZCC outing in Darien.
I am posting the caravan time schedule from 2012 that worked rather well. Of course all times are approximate so plan to be a few minutes early.
Please post if you plan to join in.

...arrive BJ's parking lot, Rt15 exit 66 9:00 - 9:30am- leave by 9:45am
...arrive Merritt Pkwy North Haven rest area 10:00am
...Orange rest area 10:10am
...Fairfield rest area 10:30am
...arrive Darien near 11:00am

BJ's in Wallingford is a short ride south on the parkway from the merger of I91 at Meriden, and a straight line from the merge point of I84West and I91South

It's always fun to turn heads as our "line up" cruises into a rest stop.
Alan

Just a quick update. We will have a free swap area for those of you with excess Z parts. Please look in your garages, basements, attics and underneath the bed for those new or gentle used parts that others could use.

Just a couple rules:

If you bring it and it doesn't leave with someone else, YOU take it home. Especially if it is bigger than a toaster! :D
It must be a Z part :D :D

This is a great way to benefit club members and clean out the garage at the same time.

Who knows, maybe you'll walk away with a treasure yourself!
