Guys, I thought the rain date was the following weekend. I went ahead and made plans for Sunday which involve my kid returning from college to meet with other families at the Highland Games in Scotland. I can't back out of that, so I won't be involved with the picnic this year. You guys in the caravan, don't wait up for me, I'll be headed in the opposite direction  . Remember to stop at the Orange rest stop to let SurferD join you.

Have a great time, let Tom Wasney eat my doZen hotdogs and I'll zee y'all next zeason. Keith, please roll my ZCCM magazine around Paul's HotWheels 240Z and mail them to me? Thnx.

Frank

To any of you who cannot make the Fall Outing on Sunday due to prior commitments, I apologize for the last-minute schedule change. We chose Sunday over next Saturday because the weather on Sunday looks to be ideal. Because of this change, we will undoubtedly lose some folks but gain others that had commitments on Saturday.

So if you cannot attend on Sunday, we will miss your presence. But as with sports... "there's always next year!"

Temptation has led me towards Darien. I have managed to alter plans and will be at BJ's lot in Wallingford (parkway exit66) at 9:00am. The plan is still to leave around 9:45a and stop at each rest stop along the Wilbur Cross and Merritt parkways.

3 240s leaving Big Alz Bar n Grill (off 395 exit 85) Sun 9a. We can pull into the commuter parking lot @ exit 77 (Waterford) 9:30ish to meet Collette for the blast to Darien.

Thanks Al but I'm off to a family reunion in New York and can't make the picnic.
I am totally bummed I have to wait until the next Zeason to meet everybody. I left the North Haven show so impressed with the people I met and their spirit that I've been very excited to become more involved with the club. As Rosanne, Roseannadanna said "It's always something......"
Have a great time at the picnic and an easy winter.

-Colette
Do the local folks ever get together between Zeasons?

Paul you're a " vewry, vewry" (think Bugs Bunny) funny guy :P It would be quite a sight indeed. The 'Family' trading in their caddy's for Zeeees. Uncle Mickey is a WWII vet, he'd probably love a ride in a ZZZZZZZ!

This just in...
With Colette bailing, the 3 240s (myself,Paul Mackin,Robin Foote) will now be changing our route to pick up Gary Tylinski at his place in Lebanon around 9:30a and heading to Darien from there. I'm guessing our depature time is later than most, but if this works for anyone, let us know.
Zee ya there!

Al

Pending when Big Al and his groupies arrive, and then we head out from my place in Lebanon (exit 22 of Rt 2)... we'll be heading West (toward Hartford) on Rt 2 for Rt 3 Bridge in Glastonbury to cross and catch I-91 South. From there it will be South to hit the Merritt Pkwy (Rt 15) in Meriden and cruzZZZe on down to Darien. We'll be too late for the BJs crowd group hugs, but might eventually catch them further south (maybe the last stop?) :?: . Hmmmmm if Godzilla  takes lead me might whoosh by and miss Al D"s crowd at a stop, so Al ... keep a look out for us and wave the checker flag  .

Hey Gary T:
If you "happen" to catch up with the BJ's bunch (no idea how many or who), pass us on the left and then let us fall in. That way we cruise in a good sized group the rest of the way. And...you can have the checkered flag. Things is looking' up!
See ya there no matter what.
Alan

Well I just got done swearing at my Z, but it's ok, just a blower motor..........That I wasn't working on, just 2 simple dash lights, then ....why isn't the blower working.......many swears and one fried wire later...........who the heck needs air. I got one light to work though. I got too involved in tearing down a 280zx today. I should of been working on the 240. When your up against the clock, that's when all goes wrong. Lesson....never learned. I never win, I just lose less. Z ya tomorrow.......at least the car runs. ummmmmmm, now what did that wire go to.
