Back and better than ever - it's the CTZCC - Bob Sharp Outing at Lime Rock!

When: Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 11am to 2pm
Where: Lime Rock Park
What: Hang out with legendary Bob Sharp, enjoy free BBQ/picnic lunch, compete in the Bob Sharp Trivia Contest and much more (including, if all the stars align just right, a parade lap or two on the track)!

This is always such a wonderful afternoon, not just because of how terrific Bob Sharp and Lime Rock are, but also because no matter where you are coming from, the drive to and from the park is absolutely amazing. Do the drive by yourself or, better yet, join a caravan of other Z's, just make sure you attend this event!

If interested in caravaning, please check this thread: http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8314

PLEASE NOTE: because this is our first club-sponsored lunch at Lime Rock, we need to ask that if you will be attending, please either post in this thread or send me a PM to let me know how many people will be joining you for lunch. As with all club events, guests are not only welcome, they are encouraged. But in order to have sufficient food and drinks for everyone, we'll need to know ahead of time how many to expect.

Bob Sharp and I are looking forward to seeing you at Lime Rock on July 26th!

- Jim

The 26th works for me. Actually so did the 19th. This is a super event!

From Meriden, I will take I84 west to Southbury and head up Rt67 and Rt202 or Rt7. A good meeting place is the shopping center at I84 exit 15. There is a MickeyD's there for a pitstop and a cup a' joe (breakfast and tea if you like). The ride up 67 an 202 is nice and easy through the Connecticut countryside.
Anyone wishing to join in? We can agree on meet times as the date gets closer.
The more the merrier!!
Alan

Thanks for arranging this Jim. I plan to be there with Graham (who by the way eats like an adult). :D

Hey Paul,

I'll probably be coming from Jamestown. Maybe we can get a caravan going with me, you, Robin Foote and a few others from the area.

Carol & I will be attending. Going from Tolland and plan on hooking up with Alan.
Usually we go out Rt 44 (pick it up thru Hartford), but possibly this time will go out
84 to exit 15 as Alan posts above and use his route for variety. Anyone wants to
meet up at the Mickey D's or along the way please post the times etc.

Jim, I'm asking a car builder who knows Bob and happens to live in Darien along as
he has not seen Bob for awhile. I'll let you know if he confirms attending.
Jack

Thanks everyone for working on caravaning plans and for RSVP'ing for the lunch - both are greatly appreciated.

Our Bob Sharp Day at Limerock is always an awesome day, but I have a feeling with the picnic and the trivia contest, this one is going to top them all!

Jim,
Nancy and I will be at this event.
Hopefully we can get a few or more Z's joining up at Rt84 (Exit 15) and Rt67 at the shopping center in Southbury.
Alan
