Hmmm, I see Independent Motorsports Group will be on the track that day.

I am going to look into bringing the 240 vintage racer out, the car needs the track time and my arse needs the seat time. Lets get the club colors out on both sides of the fence.

We are going to have a Bob Sharp trivia contest at this event. It should not only be informative but also entertaining. I'm sure Bob will give us some funny anecdotes on some of the questions. So bone-up on your Bob Sharp knowledge to win some cool Bob Sharp Racing goodies!

Just because CTZCC officers like me and people affiliated with Bob are INELIGIBLE to win (so nobody can claim it's rigged) doesn't mean we can't have fun preparing for and taking the quiz...I certainly will!

To say that Bob Sharp is world famous is no exaggeration, as this website from Hungary proves: http://www.zclubhungary.hu/BobSharp.htm. And it just so happens that there is lots of good information there about Bob that may come in handy for Ross' trivia contest.

There are only a few weeks to go, so if you haven't begun amassing Bob Sharp trivia, well, gentlemen, start your (search) engines!

- Jim

Jim, my son Connor and I plan to attend. Looking forward to memorable day with our Z brethren. Little league activities will be over by then.

Holy Cow Paul, great to hear from you!

I guess the rumors you won the PowerBall and bought a deserted island were exaggerated, huh?

A picture of the goodies going to the person that wins the Bob Sharp trivia contest. A tie will be dealt with by Bob picking one name from the winners out of a hat.

Good luck!!!

Hey Jack Durand:
I will arrive at MickeyD's in the shopping center at I84 Exit 15 at 0900hrs. We can hang there until 0930 and then head north. Nancy is questionable for this event and may be replaced by grandson Nate. I'm sure he will ask to drive part of the way.

Anyone else wanting to join in? It's a great ride through the Connecticut countryside to Lime Rock Park. Post if you will ride with us.
Proposed route will be Rt67 to New Milford, pick up Rt 202N to Rt45, to Rt7N to Rt 112W to Lime Rock Park.

sounds like a winner. Carol & I will be on the road along I-84 from Tolland I'd guess about
8:15. I'll check time and distance and post our travel plan later.
Jack

I have some exciting news for those attending our upcoming Bob Sharp at Lime Rock Day. We will be joined by Diego Perri from the NJ club. Diego is a huge Z fan (currently owns six!) and does Z photography on the side.

Diego will be in the lead car as we get on to the track and will be taking a couple high-resolution photos of each car as they pass. Phil Parent has graciously agreed to be the driver, with Diego taking shots perched outside Phil's t-tops.

If you ever wanted to frame a professional moving shot of your car, this is your opportunity!

All shots will be available for you to download free of charge.

You can see some of Diego' awesome photography at the following link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/9405730@N ... otostream/

So please welcome Diego when you see him on Saturday!

Ahhhh, this is GREAT! This guy is the same magician who made your Zs look so stunning!! Maybe he can make my car look good, too.
Anybody who owns 6 Z cars has to be a friend of ours. Why doesn't he belong to our Club?

I sort of pity professional photographers like Diego. They see the world with much "busier" eyes than the rest of us do. Like a stalking cat which sees and focuses on every movement, every twitch, every odd shape around it as potential game, photographers spend every moment noticing angles, shapes, hues, shadows, contrasts, backgrounds and changing light around them as potential filming spots. They can 'see' the picture before they take it. The results are dramatic, but it must be very distracting and sometimes tiring.

So much easier to just stroll thru life enjoying pretty girls, beautiful carz, and other peoples' photography. :)

Frank,

All your car needs to look good is to show up! It's one of my favorite cars in the club and I'm sure I am not alone.
