This is an excellent chance for some of the new names to get to know us. North Haven is centrally located and available from everywhere in the state. They always treat us royally and we get to fill up their big conference room for our meeting.
Looking fwd to meeting some new faces this month!

Can't make this meeting even though it is one of the closest to home.
See all in June.

 WOW! What an astounding surpriZe!!!
I just read that our guest speaker will be none other than Jim Inglese Hisself!

Jim is a local (CT), nationally-and-world-reknown Weber carburetor expert! He rebuilds and customiZes Webers for racing, street and show applications. The world's most-dazzling N/A show cars and racers wear Inglese Webers. You can view some of Jim's work at his website:

http://www.jiminglese.com/

Take your time and stroll thru Jim's website, but be SURE to press the "V8 Weber" applications in the left margin to see the kind of work Jim produces. He can custom-color your Webers too, which makes for a spectacular display. I've seen red, green and gold Inglese Webers. Customers send Webers to Jim from all over the world. Jim excels in Cobra applications, but I have communicated with him in the past about special designs for the 240Z.

I'm thrilled to hear he has the time to address this meeting, and I applaud our secret member (who is related to Jim) who successfully pulled Jim away from the workbench to come talk with us!

This is GREAT!
Bring your Weber questions!
DON'T MISS THIS!!! As busy as Jim Inglese is, this might be the only chance you get to meet him in person during your lifetime!

Ohboy Oboy Oboy! :D

I will also, unfortunately, not be able to make it either.

Weather looks beautiful out though. I hope you all have a fantastic outing!

I'm glad I made it to this meetup.
It was my first and the guys I met were super nice and infinitely knowledgable.
Hopefully the next one my Z will join the rest.
Adam thanks again for the vacuum part.

What a great time we had tonight! Lots and lots of members and cars, including a lot of new faces. It was really great to finally meet some of the names we've been communicating with over the winter. And Adam, you made my night by hobbling in on your crutches, all the way from Mass! How cool are you, Dude? Broken bones don't keep you away from Z meetings! Good on ya', man! (And you even brought free parts for SurferD!).

It was hard to keep track of how many members & cars came & went, because some who arrived early had to leave early and actually passed members arriving late coming into the lot. At one time we had more than two doZen Zs and nearly a doZen non-Zs (and one VERY COOL Roadster!), and I counted 40 moving people. John from Bad Dog chased people around the parking lot in his extremely loud #33 race car, which thrilled all of us. New members came in with extraordinary Zs (new and old) and the lot was filled. A new-to-us blue Sep70 240Z came in unexpectedly and stole my heart. It looked to be very original and made me want it. By the time the piZZa was gone, we sat about 40 members in the big conference room for the meeting.

Our guest speaker, the One and Only Jim Inglese, taught us more about Weber carburetors in 15 minutes than most of us have learned in a lifetime. Jim is world renown for 'making Webers right' and is highly sought after for his services. His carburetors are things of beauty, and he's been cleaning, tuning and dressing up Webers for longer than some of our members have been alive. It was a distinct pleasure to finally meet him in person and hear him tell stories about Weber carburetors. Jim's a true 'gearhead' and has been into hot cars since he was a kid, so he fit right into our group like he was a brother. I guess it's only because he's finally semi-retired that he had time to take a break and come talk with us. We sort of buried him with questions from the floor after his presentation. It was a good time, and I thank anybody who had anything to do with getting Jim to speak to us. If you don't know about Jim's service, or have any questions about Weber carbs, check out Jim's website:

http://www.JimInglese.com

The folks at Executive were again the perfect hosts. They provided us with a separate parking lot all our own, directly beside the business lot. That protected our Zs from any external traffic, but still permitted visitors to walk from the showroom to view our cars. I never tire of Zeeing how the old classic Zs fascinate today's youth. Most of them know about the old Zs, but NONE of them have ever seen two or three doZen of them parked together like we do! It's great to zee them pore over each car, taking pictures of each detail. It makes us want to tell them every Z story we have.

The piZZa was really good, altho we were having such a good time talking at the cars, we didn't go inside when it arrived. So there was a friendly line of members at the microwave, reheating their piZZa. There were more than a doZen large pies, and we killed them all, no survivors.

After the meeting we again hung around in the parking lot swapping stories, until long after Executive had closed. A perfect night.

Well done, CTZCC officers ~ very well done, indeed.

Frank T
