Theres an event that takes place nearby every once in a while. My sundays are always busy so I havent been there and I dont think my project would fit in with all the nicely restored classics. Ive heard good things about the meets and great things about the coffee! A couple of Z's should show up!

Caffeine & Carburetors is a gathering of automotive enthusiasts. We meet at Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee in New Canaan, CT 6 times year to enjoy our cars, trucks and motorcycles, and share them with like-minded gear heads, friends and family in and around Connecticut and New York.

We have a tendency to lean toward sports cars, with the occasional Model A or 1920′s Rolls Royce, but our emphasis is on foreign sports cars. We enjoy all vehicles and there are no sponsorships or awards associated with our gatherings.

Doug Zumbach began hosting these gatherings in 1995. Each gathering falls on a Sundays and begins at 8 am. We gather over a cup of coffee, and then enjoy a leisurely drive through the countryside.

Caffeine and Carburetors is a way to indulge the gear head in all of us.

Visit our events page for a listing of our upcoming gatherings.

This looks like an interesting idea for next season. Their next meets are this Sunday and then November 3. One is too close the other might be a bit late in the season. I have signed up for the email newsletter and will think about a fun run in the spring. Only problem would be their location in one of the far corners of the state, making travel a long distance for some.

Looking forward to the apple run on the 12th and annual outing on the 19th.
