I am planning on leaving Danbury Monday between 8 and 9. Plan on taking 84 to Hartford, 91N towards Springfield, then CT-15 / I84E / I90 Mass Pike to I495. All that being said, is there anyone who wants to join in along the way?

If that is between 84E and I 495, that is great, what exit and where afterwards? PM me a cell phone number and we will call when we get close.

Yes Auburn is exit 10 off of the MA Pike. (I84 is Exit 9, I495 is exit 11A)

I say a good meeting place is the Bentley Pub located at 602 Southbridge St Auburn, MA 01501. (on left side of road) It is directly off of Mass Pike so there will be easy exit and entrance to get back on the road. Also a good size parking lot (not sure how many people will be in the caravan)

Here is a link on Google Maps to show you Bentley Pub.
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=bentley+ ... 16&iwloc=A

There is also a Shell Gas Station there if anybody needs to fuel up. I know I get terrible fuel mileage so I will needing a refuel along the way.

It is about 2 hours from Danbury to Auburn. If you leave at 8 I will be waiting around 10 and so forth. Just tell me the start time and I am good!

no need to PM. My cell is 508-868-0485

So basically you Guys coming from the West can either go the North route, which probably is the quicker more direct route, or there is the southern route Via 95 through RI and then up to NH. There are probably more Z guys to do a Caravan along the Southern Route, in my best guess. Just saying. So maybe we should look at these 2 choices of Routes, and then decide on days. Whatchathink. (EX) Monday, Southern Route :!:

Why don't you plan the southern route, I'll go northern and we pick a spot to join up and come in together....

The Auburn MASS spot sounds like a great common collection point for people coming from nearly every direction.

I probably don't have to remind anyone of this, but Zs will be coming to Nashua from every direction, and some from very far away. Some of them will (will) break down along the way. These are 40 year old sportscars which the owners beat on, cut on and honed just days before attempting to drive them cross-country to ZCon. Some of them are risking the drive before their cars are actually ready for the trip. It's sort of like Woodstock in August 1969 ~ people are getting there no matter how bad their rides are.

IF YOU ZEE A Z BROTHER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, you are pretty honor-bound to stop and help him out if you can do it safely. Don't cause a pileup by slamming on your brakes but get off if you can and offer him help (even if it's just cold water and technical advice). You might have the exact tool he needs to get back on the road.

If there are other Zs already stopped, you might not feel guilty about going ahead on. But please don't leave a Z brother alone at the side of the road if you can help it. Sort of goes without saying, but I wanted to say it anyway.

I can think of nothing more demoralizing than to be stuck roadside in the heat or the rain and have Z after Z pass by you, on their way to fun.

Let's help where we can, if we can, and make sure they know we're CTZCC!

Frank T

Since my Z is dead I'm looking to carpool up and fly back (on a friend's small plane) home on Wednesday morning, or fly up and carpool back on Wednesday morning. Anybody interested in either flying to/from Hartford or carpooling Monday night or Wednesday morning? My friend's plane holds up to 4.

I'm finding some weird anomalies with the address for the Bentley Pub.

Their website shows the address as 602 Southbridge St in Auburn, 01501. But if you look at Google maps Street View, you'll see they are on the corner of Southbridge and Oxford and you can't enter the property from Southbridge. You must turn onto Oxford Street, which is listed in Worster, Mass, 01601. So if you're following your GPS, the Southbridge address will lead you to a stone wall with no driveway thru it. Their driveways are on Oxford Street, "behind" the restaurant.

http://www.bentleypub.com/contact-bentl ... urn-ma.htm

Bentley is a single level red wooden building which used to be the Picadilly Pub. The parking lot is plenty big for a bunch of Z cars.

The reviews say they don't open their doors until 11:30 AM, so earlier arrivals will not have access to interior facilities.

The location seems good for an obvious meeting place and is only 1 hour from Hartford.
